Spring Break | Part 2

I recapped the first few days of our Spring Break vacation yesterday. If you love beach pictures, keep reading. I took a lot! I really wanted to capture the kids first time at the ocean and it's hard to narrow down the pictures!

Sunday was another cooler day so we knew we didn't want to try the beach until the afternoon. We decided to go back to Adventure Island and do the go karts and the second mini golf course after breakfast.

The boys were up first!

I love that there are palm trees on the go kart track! No palm trees where we live. ;)

After the boys had their turn, Christopher took our 3 year old and I took our 5 year old while our son waited in the bleachers. The girls loved it but they said it was bumpy.  I think she preferred the stationary car.

Miss Silly on the mini golf course. They gave her a plastic putter this time. I felt much safer that way. Ha ha!

She saw me taking a picture of her sister standing this way, so I had to take one of her too! #girls

Sunday was a rough day with our 3 year old! We still enjoyed being on vacation of course, but she was a handful. You can probably tell by the look on her face here.

I was getting ready to take a picture of the older two, and she wanted to be in it with them. She wasn't about to smile though!

I love this guy!

Suddenly she's happy again. #threenager

This picture makes me laugh :)

My little crew!

Christopher is the kind of guy who loves routine. He finds something he likes; he sticks with it! We went to the same resort in Cancun the first three years we were dating (twice while we were dating and once on our honeymoon). So, for lunch on Sunday we went back to Hurricane Grill and Wings. This time our son and our 5 year old had a coloring contest. Christopher and I were supposed to judge who did a better job.

I think both entries were winners! ;)

After lunch we went back to the beach. I'm not going to lie; I was cold! I think it was 65 degrees and it was windy. I toughed it out for the kids though because they were still having a great time!

One of my favorite beach pictures.

Another favorite. She can make me so frustrated sometimes, but she melts her Momma's heart.

I think the sand pile on his legs was keeping him warm. ;)

Fun memories!

You all can go in the cold water, I will stay back here and take pictures. ;)

We didn't really buy any souvenirs (sorry family!), but we did buy this fun beach bag from Publix. It was great to have for carrying all our stuff to the beach.

After naps for all but our son and I, we went to Rotolo's pizza for dinner. We tried and tried to get a picture of our 5 year old and I, and none of them were good. So we went with crazy instead. ;)

I think our 3 year old took this picture with my phone on Monday morning. ;) We were really bummed because Monday was supposed to be 75 and sunny. Perfect beach weather! And we were leaving. Christopher acted like he was going to the lobby to get a cart for our luggage and surprised us all by booking another night instead! We were able to stay in the same room and really enjoy a beautiful beach day in Alaboomer (our 5 year old couldn't remember the name of the state and kept saying Alaboomer instead of Alabama. She kept us laughing with her funnies on this trip).

First, this photo loving Momma had to attempt family pictures on the beach.

We asked a random lady and her daughter if they would mind snapping a few pictures of our family for us. She was really nice about it. The only time it rained on Monday was the 15 minutes we were attempting beach pictures. ;) It was a light drizzle, but combined with the wind still made it difficult to get a great picture. This was the best we got!

I do love this one though!

And this one. :)

I love these little ladies!

The boys think Orange Beach is #1 ;)

I think they have perfected the crazy face photo.

Sisters!!

I think they are happy our little photo session is over. ;)

This sign made me laugh every time we passed it.

We didn't have to wait long on Monday for it to be warm enough to hit the beach! It really was perfect beach weather. Beautiful!

Just love! #nofilter

It is the best when these girls get along so well.

The three amigos loved the beach!

Our initials

I loved walking along the beach with this girl.

Hi guys!

Olaf in the sand ;)

Another of these sweet sisters. I couldn't help myself!

The kids loved playing in the waves with Daddy.

Christopher and the girls

Three kids; one sand pile ;)

Another visit to Adventure Island. We had planned to mini golf again, but we all got pretty sunburned earlier in the day and weren't feeling up to it. Maybe we are just Ocean rookies. We used Coppertone SPF 50 but all looked a little lobsteresque after just a couple of hours in the sun.

We had promised our 5 year old she could ride the teacup ride, so that is what we did. It was only two riders per cup so I went with our 3 year old. It was fun to ride with her. :)

I love that he is giving her the side eye in this one.

Favorite :)

I love seeing a big smile on his face! We went to dinner afterwards at, you guessed it, Hurricane Grill and Wings. ;)

We drove about 8 hours on Tuesday and stopped near my friend Jacinda's house in Tennessee for the night. We were happy to be able to meet them for dinner! I didn't attempt to get her baby in the picture because it was kind of late and she was happy to be with her Momma.  Love these kids!

Wednesday morning we visited Jacinda and her sweet girl at their house. Our daughters can not get enough of her. She isn't quite as sure about them. ;)  It was so nice to see their family and finally see their house and the farm house they have been remodeling.

If you made it to the end of this post, I'm impressed! We needed to get away and this was an amazing place to go. Alaboomer, we will be back. :)
