Summer Fun

We've been trying to do a lot of cleaning and purging the last couple of days. When we moved to the rent house we went from a two story house with a finished basement to a ranch with an unusable basement so it feels like we have a lot of "stuff". We've lived in the rent house almost a year but with a move coming soon I am ready to purge! Unfortunately my children do not feel the same way. ;)

We spent Thursday morning at home so I thought we should do something fun after lunch and naps. It was the perfect afternoon for the park.

Our son was being sweet and pushing his little chubby cheeks on the swings. ;)

The three of them played really well together today!

Our kids LOVE to watch Wipeout and our son was "Coach", having the girls do Wipeout training courses. Ha ha!

So funny!

The slide was part of one of their training courses. ;)

It melted this Momma's heart to see them walking to the car this way. Our son isn't one to really hold hands so it made it extra sweet! ♥

Friday morning we did more cleaning and organizing and were all still in our pajama's at about 4:00 when my friend Kelsey said her and the kids were on their way over. They live about 2 hours from us, but her Dad and Mom live a mile or two away from our rent house. They were in town so we were happy to have them stop by!  We really don't have people over to the rent house. Small and cluttered is not the impression I want people to have of our house, but when you've been friends since 7th grade it makes it ok. ;) This was probably the most intense game of Candy Land I've ever seen!

The kids wanted to go outside and they ended up playing a little soccer.

Our 3 year old always has to get out the Cozy Coupe!

The six kids eating dinner. I had put one of Mix and Match Mama's recipes, orange marmalade chicken, in the crock pot that morning so we had simple sandwiches and chips/pretzels. I thought it was really yummy!

I wanted a picture of all the kids and they wanted to do crazy faces. Love it!

They all do crazy pretty well except the 3 year olds. They look a little confused. Ha ha!

And a nice picture. ♥

They had a Candy Land marathon!  Our kids are all pretty close to the same age. Our oldest are 7, middle are 5 and youngest are 3. The older girls and the older boys really paired up all night and they all did a pretty good job of including the 3 year olds in whatever they were playing.  Kelsey and I were able to chat and catch up some which is rare with that many kids.  It was so nice to see them!

I love this! I am so thankful for both the old and new friends in my life!! ♥
