Today was the first time our son met Robin and the kids. He enjoyed spending the day with them. (And his race car Francesco) ;)
We headed in to the rain forest area first because it was still sprinkling a little and that area has a building and lots of trees.
I think Robin was going to take a picture of the bff's in their Frozen bff shirts and their younger siblings ran up and wanted to be in the picture too. So sweet. :)
They had a small python out so the kids could touch/pet it. Yay. ;)
The big python was active again today! Any time the kids would move their hand up the glass, the python would follow it. Kind of creepy right??
Group swing in the hammock
Love this girl with my whole heart but she has really been testing me lately! She wants to be on top of the orangutan, to swing by herself in the hammock, and it goes on and on. We are working on not always getting your way. (I know that might seem ironic since this is a picture of her swinging by herself, but you pick your battles!)
They had the hardest time with these gigantic boots, but how cute are they?! :)
Our 3 year old just loves this guy. It's pretty cute.
The orangutans were on the move today too!
We watched them for quite a while. The kids were fascinated. Normally when we see them they are just sitting on the branches.
Mesmerized!
We were blocking stroller traffic trying to get this picture, but got a cute one! ;)
This little guy is always so happy and easy going when we see him!
Our son really wanted to ride the train, but he was outvoted. He was so mature about it. I was proud of him! I told him we will ride the train on our next visit.
I love watching this girl on the carousel. She loves it!
Cuties!
We tried the quarter trick with the sea lions but it didn't work. I think we need a sunny day!
Can you see the personality here? Ha ha, I love it!
It started to rain again as we were finding a table to have our picnic lunch so we waited a few minutes for a table under the awning. As we were finishing up the kids were playing hide and go seek and our 5 year old skinned her knee and elbow. I'm sure the people around us thought she was seriously injured the way she was crying, but she isn't too badly injured. ;) Robin is so thoughtful and got her an ice cream cone to help take her mind off of it. We ended up getting all 5 older kids ice cream and they were loving it!
She was such a mess, but a cute mess!
Same with this guy!
There are a lot of things I love about this picture! ♥
It wasn't easy trying to get 5 little faces in the box. ;)
I love the expression on her face as the peacock spread it's wings!
We made a quick trip through the barn area and Robin snapped this cute one of the girls in the dog house. Ha ha! It was another fun day at the zoo!
This quote made me think of Robin and their family. They are such positive and sweet people! We always have a great time with them. :)
