Graduation Party

We celebrated my brother's graduation with an open house on Saturday. My Step-dad and Mom have been doing so much work on their landscaping since the pole barn was finished! All of the kids and grandkids have helped out some too. My kids and I probably did the least manual labor but we helped a little! It looks great! My big contribution was putting together the photo boards for the open house. It took hours and hours to sort pictures, print pictures, and put the boards together. It is something I enjoy though and I was happy to do it! My brother and Step-dad and Mom were all really appreciative that I made them. :)

Our 5 year old was a big help with the boards! I love that she likes to help me whenever I'm doing a project.

Ready for the party!

These two ladies helped my Mom so much. They shopped for decorations with her, helped her decorate the cakes and cupcakes and helped get all the food set up and ready before the party started. I know she really appreciated their help!

The guys got the volleyball net up and played a little before people really started to arrive.

I told my girls that they had to nap or they could not come to the party with me. They laid in bed nearly two hours but didn't fall asleep so I had to leave them at home with Daddy. Our son chose to stay since the girls were, so I unexpectedly had a kid free night. Our 5 year old is a real Mommy's girl and was so upset that she couldn't go with me to the party. :( Following through as a parent is so hard sometimes! I enjoyed being able to play games and talk to everyone without the responsibilty of 3 kids, but I really missed them! I had fun hanging out with this handsome guy though. :)

I designated myself the party photographer and was trying to get pictures of all the guests. Most people would say, oh I don't like to have my picture taken but when I asked Brian if I could take their picture he said "please do". Ha ha!

This guy was having fun playing with his Grandma's glasses. :)

Travis with our Uncle Rodney. I was doing a great job at first getting pictures of Travis with family!

Travis with our Grandpa and his wife (Unfortunately after this picture, I stopped taking pictures of Travis with his guests! I am fired as photographer.)

We don't see them much so I thought I should get a picture with them too.

Seesters!

My sister took my camera for a few minutes to get some pictures. This is one she took. ;)

My step-dad Ken's brother and one of his son's. His wife and their daughter were on their way to Alaska!

Ken and his sisters Pam and Laura

We didn't think we would need all three sets of cornhole boards but they all got used!

I played a couple games but my partners were not impressed with my cornhole skills. Ha ha!

One of Robert's friends came with his wife and their sweet baby boy. :)

I didn't get many pictures of our niece but I did get this one of her swinging high!

It was getting dark and starting to rain but the kids still wanted to play volleyball! ;)

Congratulations again little brother! It was fun celebrating with you today and meeting a lot of your friends. I'm excited to see what the future holds for you. (We really need to have a college send-off party at the end of the summer! For a couple reasons; because it would be fun and so I can redeem myself as photographer and get pictures of you with your siblings, parents and friends!) Love you! ♥
