We did a little sidewalk chalk art before we left on Sunday.
Ready for our road trip!
As we were getting back to our room after dinner on Sunday night, we both got a text message that there was a tornado warning for the area our hotel was in. Great! The kids were a little worried (and I admit, so was I)!
We had a relaxed morning at the hotel on Monday. The kids love just being able to watch cable since we don't have it at the rent house. (I have no idea why my 3 year old has her tongue out!)
After making our way through construction and some parts of the city that were clearly not the best, we made it to the Children's Museum. I wasn't too sure about it from the outside, but it ended up being really fun for the kids.
Playing magician
I kept trying to catch the expression on her face because she was so captivated by this exhibit! This was the best I got.
They played at this exhibit for a while!
If there is a slide, you will find my kids on it!
It was all fun and games until our son tripped and hit his leg.
If I take a picture of one of them on the slide, I have to take a picture of all three of them. ;)
I'm always amazed at how long they will play at a water table!
Team work!
She's doing a little fishing.
Shortly after this picture, her dress was soaked!
The girls and I were pretty entertained by this little exhibit. Ha ha!
The weather kept changing.
Two crazy girls watching themselves on the screen. They are crazy in the best possible way. ;)
Meanwhile, back at the water table...
They don't love grocery shopping with me, but they love a play grocery store! ;)
My littlest shopper
They love kid-sized grocery carts too!
I think it's funny that all our son has in his cart is money and he's holding a piece of cheese. And our 3 year old is on the move in the background!
Taking turns playing cashier.
How much is this pineapple??
I attempted a picture on the suspension bridge. I guess one looking out of three isn't bad. ;)
Now boarding!
With this girl behind the wheel I hope they are both buckled up!
There was another girl in this doctor's office/ dress up area that was probably 7 or 8 and she was pretending these two were her patients.
There was a friendly looking Mom sitting outside as we were leaving and I asked her to take a picture of the kids and I. I was pretty impressed all three of them are looking! ;) Our first adventure on our mini vacation was a success!
