Frozen princesses and BFF's :)
These four always play so well together whenever we see each other. It is super cute! (Thanks for the picture Robin!)
Cupcake time!
Our 3 year old ate her cupcake, then Sarah saw her finishing off my cupcake when I wasn't looking, and then a few minutes later I caught her trying to eat another one! She definitely has a sweet tooth!
Robin and the birthday girl; beautiful inside and out!
All the kids at the party except the birthday girl's baby brother. The kids all had such a great time! :)
Sarah and I had talked about getting together on Friday but hadn't decided what we wanted to do or a time to meet. The kids and I gave the Pilot a thorough cleaning on Friday morning and then we ended up meeting Sarah and the boys at a local splash pad in the afternoon. Sarah and the boys had gone once before, but this was our first time there.
The girls being silly!
The boys liked having the bucket of water dump on their heads. ;)
Pretty girl playing in the sprayers.
They have an area next to the splash pad with rocks and a stream of water. It was a great photo op but I would not let the girls play there. I was envisioning one or both of them with a split head from falling on the slippery rocks!
Each of my three kids brought a bucket and they ended up having fun filling and dumping those!
The girls needed a fruit snack break. ;)
The boys played in the rock area for quite a while. They were finding rocks to block the water from flowing.
And they apparently enlisted the help of some kids they just met. ;)
Hard at work!
I got a passion tea lemonade on the way to the splash pad and unfortunately for me; the girls love it as much as I do! This monkey finished it off!
The girls and I had to make a quick Walmart run on Friday night and I defeated the claw machine once again! Our son was pretty happy about his new minion. ;)
We had a zoo day on Saturday with my Mom, both brothers, nephew and my brother's friend Kariann and her son. My family hadn't been to the zoo for several years so it was really nice to be able to go!
Our zoo crew! We missed Grandpa Ken, my sister, nephew, niece and Christopher! I think the last time we all went to the zoo was in 2009!
Boys in the jeep.
Our 5 year old poses here every time we go to the zoo. The other two decided to pose with her today. ;)
I think they were watching two foxes play.
Spinning the wheel
It was more difficult than it should have been to get all 5 kids in the tent! ;)
Grandma Pam with the kids
And with our nephew
Both the girls wanted to feed a giraffe but our 5 year old changed her mind when she remembered the giraffe licking her hand during a zoo visit earlier this summer. ;)
Taking another look at the giraffes.
They were using these crates as drums. Ha ha!
They wanted to play the real drums too!
Travis and I with the kids and Mr Orangutan
Kariann and Robert decided to let the boys do a pony ride and our 5 year old REALLY wanted to ride too!
Kariann and her son
Our sweet girl was pretty nervous but she loved the pony ride! She thanked me several times for letting her go. Sometimes I feel like the kids take all the fun things they get to do for granted so it was nice that she kept thanking me. ;)
The boys looking at the python.
The kids watching the tiger sleep. Very exciting. ;)
Kids tree house with a couple of big kids in there too!
Our 5 year old tried to get the sea lions to come up to the glass with a quarter but it didn't work again today. We will keep trying!
Waiting at the train crossing.
I don't know how I keep ending up going in with the goats! It really isn't my favorite part of the zoo but the girls like it, so I go in with them. They are still a little nervous about brushing them, but they always want to. We had another fun day at the zoo!
We got home and I knew the girls were not going to nap so I decided to go to the new house and see how Christopher was doing. He had been there all day cleaning up.
I thought the girls would fall asleep on the drive there, but our son fell asleep instead! Our 5 year old wanted to help vacuum.
Our 3 year old had to make some important phone calls. ;)
Once our son woke up he vacuumed a little, had a snack and played in the rocks for a few minutes. We had a great Saturday!
Our son has been so excited about Planes Fire & Rescue coming out! I took all three kids to see it this morning and it did not disappoint. :)
I just learned about the kid trays last summer. They really are a perfect amount of snacks for the kids and $5 isn't a bad price for a movie theater.
I was a little nervous about taking all three of them by myself but it went pretty well. Only a minimal amount of whining from the girls and fighting over who got to sit on my lap. ;)
I wanted to run in to Old Navy quickly after the movie and the kids all sat down and started coloring.
After dinner we went back to the new house to take a bunch of pictures before they start drywalling this week. Christopher snapped this one of the kids and I. I love my little crew, crazy faces and all!
Last but not least, this is my first post on my totally updated and redesigned blog layout! Andrea at Slightly Askew Designs came up with this amazing, colorful and fun new layout. She is one creative and extremely talented lady. I couldn't be happier with the new design! Take a look around. :)
This is what the layout looked like before! I have a new design, header, side bars, footer, signature and more. Thanks again Andrea! That sums up our weekend. Have a great week friends!
