These two asked me to take their picture with the elephant at the entrance. Their poses lately are so funny to me, especially our 5 year old!
Now with the real elephants!
We did not participate in the camel rides, but we did stop to pose for a picture. Ha ha!
And another with the kangaroo.
Our son did a great job helping me find our way through the zoo. One of the first things we did was find the train ride, of course! Is it just my kids, or do kids sunglasses not fit their faces well? Our son's especially never seem to be sitting correctly on his face!
Mommy and my girl!
After we stopped and ate the picnic lunch we packed, we found the lions! We liked this zoo, but it was really spread out and I felt like it was kind of hard to find some of the animals!
They had to stop here. ;)
I told the girls to let their brother have a turn by himself now and this is what I got!
They made a new monkey friend. Ha ha!
The giraffes are always a favorite!
I think this turtle is exactly like or very similar to one at our zoo.
Their rainforest area is in a separate building at this zoo and we decided to go in as we were leaving. This beautiful waterfall is at the entrance. There was air blowing and it kept blowing the girls skirts up. Ha ha! #thankgoodnessforleggings
I love this one of our 3 year old pointing at the orangutan!
Playing a food chain game with some of the zoo staff. I was proud of our son's explanation of what a food chain is and that he knew where all the animals should go on the chain. ;)
I'm always having my kids stop and pose, but once in a while they ask me to take their picture. This was one of those times.
I had to take one more picture on the way out of the three of them by the waterfall. ;) I'm glad we were able to visit a zoo we hadn't been to before and make those memories together.
We had dinner at Longorn Steakhouse on Tuesday night and these two were worn out from the zoo! They kept laying down in the booths and did not want to eat. I took them outside while the guys finished up so they could have a few minutes of peace & quiet. Once we got outside, they were full of energy and practicing ballet moves! It was actually very cute watching our 5 year old try to teach our 3 year old some of the moves she learned at ballet camp.

The girls' outfits are adorable! They look so cute!
Thanks Alyson! I love to have them match when I can. :) Those have been their "zoo outfits" this summer.
