Sum It Up Sunday

We played outside on Thursday after school because the weather was so nice! The kids tend to get loud and a little crazy when we are inside the house for too long, so we try to play outside whenever we can. I told them we were going to have a contest to see who drew the best sidewalk chalk art. The older two did a great job!

Our 5 year old drew a rainbow complete with a leprechaun and a pot of gold. :)

Our 7 year old drew each member of our family. I told him my vote was for his sister's picture though because he drew me bigger than Daddy! Ha ha!

We started our weekend with a 25th Anniversary party for my Uncle and Aunt at a campground at the lake. They got in on Thursday evening from Virginia. I decided to take 3 ingredient lemon cookies to the party along with my baked beans. I had the cutest little helper!

The recipe said the dough would be thick and taffy-esque and it was!

I am not the best at making cookies! They turned out okay but were not our favorite.

Our daughter was playing with Elmo all day and insisted that he come with us to pick up her brother and sister. He had to be buckled up too. #safetyfirst

When we got to the campground Friday night, the boys played ladder ball.

The girls had both napped on the way there and it took our 3 year old a while to wake up!

Sweet cousins enjoying their Friday night fish fry.

My Grandpa Junior and his wife

My Mom made the 25th Anniversary cake and my Aunts put together the photo board and decorations.

They had a cute play area for kids at the campground!

My sister and nephew

Sisters!

The kids thought it was a great to try climbing this hill. Our son was covered in dirt!!

I love this kid!

His face! Ha ha!

My nephew wanted me to put him up here and take his picture.

Love this bike!

All 6 cousins :)

Our girls LOVE babies! They were so excited to hold Beth's baby.

It was so nice of Beth to let the kids hold him. I remember being SO nervous about anyone holding our son when he was a baby!

My 11 year old nephew even wanted to hold him. I'm not sure where the other two boys were, but they didn't participate in the baby holding.

We don't have all the cousins together often so I wanted to get a picture! This is 11 of our 12 cousins. I am so impressed that everyone is smiling!  The last time we were all together was in 2012.

I took the girls back to the play area with me to look for my camera case. They had to play for a minute while we were there!  The kids were filthy and exhausted by the time we drove home, but we all had a great night visiting with our extended family.

We had a laid back Saturday morning and afternoon. After dinner on Saturday night, we stopped at this fun little park. We had driven past this park many times before I realized it was in the shape of a fire truck.

Even Dad got in on the slide fun!

Love these 3!

Our 3 year old thinks she can do everything the older kids do!

:)

Ha ha!

We left the fire truck park and the kids really wanted to go to the playground at their school, just for 10 minutes!

It was fun to have the older two tell us what they like to play on at recess. :)

We had a lot of house decisions to make this weekend but we wanted to make sure the kids still had some fun. We played a game of mini golf before lunch today.

We did the jungle course this time.

Our son is signed up for fall baseball and should start in a few weeks. We thought it would be a good idea to practice today.

Our 5 year old was so funny! She apparently thinks you can throw the ball at the runner to get them out. ;)

We went out to the new house this evening and our 3 year old was using this ramp as a balance beam.

The older two were using sticks to dig in the pile of dirt. The things they do to entertain themselves!

My sister-in-law Anne posted this on Facebook and I thought it was cute, and true for those people in our lives that can be a little prickly at times!

Have a great week friends!
