This fair is a little bigger than the one we went to last week and they run kids day differently, but it seemed well planned. They gave each child a ticket and they could choose to get their face painted, get a balloon animal, or get a caricature made of themselves. The boys all wanted a balloon animal, and our 4 year old wanted her face painted so Sarah took the boys in the balloon animal line and I kept the girls in the face painting line.
The boys were pretty excited about their balloon animals!
Our son and his friend from school both picked a dragon. It is amazing what they can make with balloons!
Waiting for her turn to get her face painted
She chose a pink kitty for her face painting this time.
She did a great job sitting still and it turned out so pretty!
A lion, two scary dragons, and a pretty pink kitty :)
We had them hold the balloon animals in the air so they weren't in front of their faces.
A closeup of the finished kitty
When we first asked the kids if they wanted to drive these, the older boys said no. They changed their minds though. It was fun to watch the four of them, but they were driving like they were bumper trucks!
They had fun, but I'm not sure the people supervising enjoyed it quite as much. ;) They really didn't drive them too wildly!
Our sweet girl in the horse barn
We thought it was so nice this girl let the kids pet her horse. Our 4 year old is definitely the most brave of our 3. She would pet him on the nose real quickly. ;) We had lunch at the fair and treated the kids to McDonald's ice cream cones (and McFlurry's for the Moms!) afterward. It's always a good time hanging out with Sarah and her boys!
