Day Trip!

We took a day trip yesterday to Milwaukee to meet up with some of our Wisconsin family. We planned to welcome home my husband's youngest brother who was flying in after finishing his service with the United States Marine Corps. We were disappointed that his flight got changed and came in at midnight. By that time, we were already on our way home. We will make plans to see him soon!

Other than not being able to see Tim, we still had a fun day in Milwaukee. We started at the Milwaukee County Zoo. We are lucky to have a pretty great zoo in our town, but it is fun to visit other zoos as well!

Our sweet girl. We tried to make sure we saw the animals that our zoo doesn't have. The kids loved the elephants!

They have a neat giraffe exhibit. Giraffes are always a favorite, for the kids and the adults. ;)

Daddy and the kids

Love her expressions when she is excited about or surprised by something. This was her expression when she saw the Rhinoceros. :)

Her little feet needed a break!

The boys clowning around on the train

Our girl loved the train ride as much as her older brother and sister did!

After the zoo, we met Grandpa Larry and Grandma Jane, Uncle Pat and Aunt Anne and their sweet girl to tailgate before the Brewers game.

Yum, apples and caramel!

Aunt Anne brought this huge bucket of cheese balls.  Our family has a love/hate relationship with cheese balls.  The kids love them, Mommy hates them.  ;) They are just so messy!  The kids loved having them for a treat.  Our daughter was pretty determined to get the lid off by herself!

Our adorable niece. She posed for me and said cheeeese. :)  She is just the sweetest girl!

Our son loves to play corn hole! He talked Uncle Pat in to playing a couple games with him.

The kids decided it would be fun to run back and forth between the boards and on the boards when no one was playing. We saw this ending badly with a 6, 4 and two 2 (or almost two) year olds! Aunt Anne had a great idea to run these cars down the boards like ramps instead. We were amazed at how long this kept the kids entertained. And bonus, no injuries!

More fun with the "ramps"

My sister-in-law Anne and I.  Love her game day outfit!

Brothers!

It was a lot of driving in one day with three little ones, but we had fun!  It is always good to see our Wisconsin family, although it never seems long enough.  We missed the ones we didn't get to see on this trip and hope to see everyone soon!
