Saturday morning we got donuts for breakfast. I loved the fall theme.
This guy had been asking to stop by a local store with a large model train track. He was happy to stop in and look at it for a few minutes, even though they weren't able to run the train while we were there.
Saturday was princess day at the Zoo Halloween. Our Elsa and Anna were excited to meet a few princesses. The weather was less than cooperative but we braved the rain anyway! This is the best picture I got of the girls with the Frozen themed pumpkins. ;)
Happy Halloween!
Our chilly train engineer with the NFL themed pumpkins.
It's not every day you get Halloween treats from a shark. Ha ha!
Love my girls!
I had to get a picture with the pumpkin giraffes. The kids don't look thrilled but they were all really good sports considering there was a pretty steady rain the whole time we were there.
Meeting the friendly witch :)
Elsa and Anna at the giant pumpkin patch.
The first princess they got to meet was Sofia from Sofia the First!
And then they got to meet Elsa!! How fun!
Elsa x 2 :)
Our train engineer at the railroad crossing!
They stopped to meet Tinkerbelle on our way out. Anna's wig had fallen off at this point.
Princess Day was a success!
Christopher and our son had a guy's night at a hockey game on Saturday night!
He loves going to hockey games, but I'm not sure if he goes for the hockey or for the snacks. ;)
My Mom ended up coming over and we took the girls out for frozen yogurt.
Both girls got cheesecake flavored yogurt and loved it.
My sweet girl.
I think these are their scary Halloween faces. Ha ha!
On Sunday afternoon we met Sarah and her boys at a local dairy farm. It was a perfect fall day!
Two of my little pumpkins.
All of the kids loved the straw mountain! There were slides and tunnels to explore inside the mountain.
King of the mountain. ;)
I love this one of all five kids at the top of the mountain! I had to climb up with them because our 3 year old needed me to help her.
The Moo-Go-Round
My little farmer ;)
Three boys in a barn.
Our kindergartner really wanted her picture taken behind the tractor but she wasn't tall enough and there wasn't a step; so I held her up for a picture.
There was a long line for the hay ride but the kids kept themselves entertained with a little Holy Cow Football.
I think they made it quite a few times!
They also checked out some farm machinery while we waited.
The boys.
This girl had to have a turn too of course!
After about a 45 minute wait we were happy to be on the hay ride!
You can see how tall the straw mountain is in the background.
These city kids were not loving the smell in the dairy barn. Ha ha!
We stopped at the corn pit play area on the way out. I wasn't sure if the kids would want to play because it was pretty packed but they all went in!
Our kindergartner going down the slide.
Our 3 year old really isn't intimidated by anything. She went down the slide right after her big sister.
This guy is so funny! I asked him why he wasn't going down the slide and it was because he didn't want to lose his digger (Jacinda I need your help, what is this called??) while he waited in line. Ha ha!
Covered in corn. ;)
She had to cover herself in corn too then!
My attempt at getting all 5 of them in one picture. At one point Sarah's younger son was "swimming" through the corn but I missed it! We enjoyed spending a couple of hours with Sarah and the boys Sunday afternoon!
Our kindergartner's family project for the month is due today so the kids and I spent some time Sunday afternoon collecting things from nature. Then we sorted them and hot glued them to her wreath. I like how it turned out!
Our sweet girl and the finished product. She said the picture was better because her Halloween shirt was in it too. ;) Thanks again for the shirts Uncle Pat and Aunt Anne!
We enjoyed another weekend of fall fun and spending time with family and friends! Have a great week!
