Weekend Wrap Up

We had a fun weekend celebrating our birthday boy and spending time with my in-laws visiting from Wisconsin!  Thanks so much for making the trip Larry and Jane!

Our 3 year old and I started our Friday picking up a couple of things at Target. This hat was not one of them, but it was fun to try on! ;)

It rained a lot on Thursday night and during the day on Friday so Christopher put Wal-Mart bags on his shoes at the new house on Friday afternoon so he didn't get mud all through the house. Ha ha ha!

As I was driving away from the new house I noticed how pretty the trees look with the leaves changing colors!

Friday night was spent celebrating our birthday boy with his jump around party at the local indoor trampoline park.

When we got home from the party our son opened gifts from Grandpa and Grandma and from Uncle Pat and Aunt Anne and their sweet kiddos. I love that our 3 year old niece decorated the box. :) Anne also sent a cute Halloween shirt for each of the kids. She's so thoughtful! I had actually tried to order the exact shirt she sent for our son earlier this week and it was out of stock. Great minds think alike. ;)

Grandpa and Grandma obviously read my blog and saw a while back that I mentioned our son needed a scooter upgrade! This picture is so funny. I took one that was blurry and my father-in-law said to try holding your breath. I thought he meant our son so this is the picture I got. Ha ha! He actually meant for me to hold my breath to keep my hands steady. ;)

Saturday was Grandma Jane's birthday! She's 29. ;) Fall baseball was canceled because the fields were too wet. I was disappointed they didn't get to see our son's game but I wasn't upset that I didn't have to sit outside in the 40 degree weather on Saturday morning! Any outdoor activities were out because it was cold and rainy, so we decided to go bowling.

Our kids love to bowl!

I'm not sure why she is posing this way but she's still cute. ;)

Grandpa Larry got some fun shots of the kids as we bowled.

His bowling form always makes me laugh.

Our 3 year old is so independent!

She did let Daddy help her quite a few times on Saturday though.

I love that my father-in-law snapped this one. No one was taking a bowling ball without her permission! ;)

Almost had them all! Ha ha!

Grandpa Larry had a great second game!

We went back to our house after bowling to have lunch and visit. Jane happened to ask if I had any Packers or Badgers apparel that might work for our brand new nephew. I pulled out my tote of baby boy clothes and found all of these! I was glad to pass it along to the newest member of the family. :)

I asked our waitress to take a group picture of us at dinner and it did not turn out! I do love this one that Christopher took of my mini me and I though!

Jacinda sent me this picture of their sweet baby girl before they left for church on Sunday morning.  I love that she wore the dress we got her for her birthday the same weekend our girls wore theirs! :)

Sunday morning Larry and Jane left pretty early. It was at least ten degrees warmer than it was on  Saturday so the girls and I went to a local festival with my Mom in the afternoon. I love their Jelly the Pug outfits I bought on Zulily!

I was happy we ran in to my friend Sara from high school and her boys. We haven't seen each other in months!

We made our way to the Children's Area and the girls did apple bowling. :)

They got 4 pieces of candy when they got all the pins down!

They had fun making their way through the straw maze.

Love these girls!

They were so excited to do a pony ride! It turns out they were not ponies, but full grown horses! The girls weren't too sure about sitting up that high.

They did a great job! It was last on our 5 year old's list of things she loved about the festival though. Ha ha!

We finished our festival fun with a show that the local show choir performs every year. The girls loved it! I can picture our 5 year old up on the stage in 10 or 11 years.

Grandpa Larry let us know they made it home safely by sending us a photo of the picture our 5 year old drew for Grandma Jane hanging on the fridge. :)

I love weekends where we get to spend time with both family and friends. I hope your week is off to a great start!
