I'm starting our weekend recap with pictures from Thursday. It felt like a Friday because our daughter doesn't have preschool on Fridays so that counts. ;) Our 3 year old had an appointment with an orthopedic doctor Thursday morning to have her knees looked at. She is knock kneed, but the doctor isn't concerned at this point and just wants to see her again in 4 months.
The weather was beautiful so the girls and I had a picnic and played at the park after preschool.
Absolutely love their faces in this picture as little sister "catches" big sister. ♥♥
My father-in-law texted this picture on Friday morning as they were getting ready to get on the road to come visit. The kids were so excited!!
I don't get grandparents in my photos often enough so I snapped one before dinner on Friday night. Two kids not looking in this one...
Everyone looking and smiling except... our 5 year old's face! Ha ha!
That's better. :)
Grandpa came through with coins to play games while we waited for our table.
This guy loves the racing games!
We thought we would probably go to breakfast with my in-laws on Sunday morning, so we did birthday donuts on Saturday morning instead. :)
We celebrated our daughter's birthday most the day on Saturday since Grandpa and Grandma were in town and Sunday was also Mother's Day. The zoo was the first stop on her list.
Sisters squinting in the sun!
She loves seeing the animals at the zoo, even the Canadian geese. ;)
Sweet sisters!
The three amigos :)
The almost birthday girl giving the wheel a spin.
Hanging out with Grandma
I wanted to get a picture with the kids and this is the best we got. Our daughter's face, again! That's my girl. ;)
She wanted to sit in this tent by herself.
This sweet girl was so excited Grandpa had a dollar so she could feed the giraffe! Thanks for this great picture Larry. :)
Walking with Grandma. :)
We had an early dinner, then picked up Scootie and went to the park. This girl is loving the slides this spring!
And big brother has been doing a lot of pushing his sisters on the swings.
But this visit to the park, he wanted to spend his time doing this. :)
She gets so excited when she sees an airplane or a helicopter. I was trying to get a picture of her pointing toward the sky but her hair kind of got in the way. ;)
There are some pretty places to take pictures at this park and Grandpa and I tried to get a few of the kids while we were there.
Love this one Larry got of our handsome guy! ♥
And this one of the birthday girl!! ♥
Grandpa Larry also took this one of all three kids. :)
Our last stop of the day was our favorite frozen yogurt place! Grandpa and Grandma had never been there. They have a pink lemonade flavor for spring that was delicious!
The birthday girl mixed birthday cake and pink lemonade flavors. :)
On Sunday morning we met my in-laws for breakfast to celebrate our sweet girl turning 5 and Mother's Day. When we got home the birthday girl was very excited to open her presents from us!
Then the girls and I went to church and to lunch with my Mom, step-dad and youngest brother. So blessed to have such a wonderful Mom!! ♥♥
We spent part of the beautiful afternoon playing in their backyard.
They love playing on the swingset.
♥♥
They always want to swing on their bellies.
I was laughing as they entertained themselves by trying to grab the branches. ;)
The older two each made me a Mother's Day gift at school and the girls each made me a card during church. Love these homemade treasures. ♥♥♥
We ordered a pizza, watched The Pirate Fairy once (or twice!), did baths and got ready to read books before bed. I love these three little people that have made me a Mom so very much! ♥
