Our Baby is THREE!!!

Dear girl it is hard to believe you are 3 today! You were such a laid back baby and that was amazingly helpful because you are baby #3. :) I feel like we've been on the go since the day you were born and it has made you pretty easy going.

Like your sister at this age, you are total sugar and spice. Sweet as pie one minute, arguing with me or getting in to trouble until I think I might go crazy the next.

You love your family so very much! You are always telling me, "my love you so much all my heart Mommy". You also often say, "my love Daddy so much, my love E so much, my love (her nickname for her brother) so much". You love your Mommy, but you are definitely a Daddy's girl too! You have the biggest hugs for him when he gets home from work every day.

You have started telling stories with your baby dolls, princesses, Sofia the First, Dora, Minnie Mouse dolls and Lalaloopsy dolls. There are times when you will play so well with your brother and/or sister and I love it! Other times you are hitting, pushing, and scratching your brother and sister.

You had a slow start to your vocabulary but I think you are really starting to catch up. You can count to ten pretty well but you just are not interested in learning your alphabet and your colors.  We are going to work on that a lot this summer and I think preschool will be a big help in the fall.  We read before bed every night and some of your favorites are Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus, The Pigeon Finds a Hot Dog, the Pinkalicious and Fancy Nancy series and recently the Lalaloopsy books. Your brother reads a book called The Three Ninja Pigs and you will randomly say, "get out of my hut or I'll kick your big butt, you better run." Ha ha!  When we are getting ready to go somewhere, a lot of times you will ask, "Are we going to the market?"  I think you heard that from your older sister, but it is so funny when either one of you says it.

You love to drive your brother and sister crazy by messing with their toys. When they are at school you think it is great fun to rearrange the toys they have been playing with.   You look up to them so much though, especially your big sister.  You want to do everything she does.

You are COMPLETELY independent. I hear you say, "I will do it" or "my do it myself", a thousand times a day. You are the total opposite of your brother who wanted us to do everything for him. You get in and out of the Pilot on your own and recently learned how to buckle and unbuckle the 5 point harness of your car seat on your own. That has proved to be quite a challenge because you love to unbuckle!

You do not like to ride in a shopping cart. You always want to walk or help push the cart. You are my errand running buddy. I feel like we have places we need to go almost every day while your brother and sister are in school. It is usually our deal that if you behave while we are in the store, you are allowed to get a $1 container of Oreo or chocolate chip cookies when we are done. Although it never fails that they spill in the car.

I thought we had you potty trained a few weeks ago, but as it turns out you're not 100% there. You do very well 90% of the time, but you still occasionally have an accident. I think a lot of it is because we are on the go so much and you're telling me you need to go "powwy" what feels like every 5 minutes!

You crack me up when we drive past places that we've gone with friends. When we pass the park, Starbucks, frozen yogurt, the bowling alley, the library... anywhere that you have had fun, you will say "my want to go that place again". I know you do darling girl. I love that you enjoy spending time with friends as much as I do. You really love the "jump place", the park, and going to Grandpa and Grandma's house.   You've claimed your brother's friends and your sister's friends as your own and you love any time we have a play date with them.

You love to collect things. I'm always finding purses, back packs, and grocery bags full of toys and random things you've put in them. You have 3 baby doll strollers and 2 shopping carts that you love to push around.

I will see you do something like throw and crayon or a toy, and you will adamantly deny that you did it. If your brother or sister tell me something you have done you will say, "no my did not." It is so frustrating yet cute at the same time.

Your favorite movie is Frozen and it is the first movie that I have noticed you remembering lines and singing along to the soundtrack. I love hearing you say, "do you want to build a snowman?"  Honestly, it never gets old hearing you sing the songs in your sweet voice.

Your stubbornness can drive me completely crazy at times, but you have such a big heart and I know that you mean well so often. You are always making sure your older siblings have their water; you love to help by bringing me the trash cans from the bathrooms when I am taking out the trash; and you love to help your sister and I make treats.

Like your older brother and sister, you amaze me daily. Sometimes I just sit back and smile at you because I'm so proud of you and I never dreamed I could love anyone so much. I can't kiss you and love you enough.

When you were born - I couldn't imagine what you would be like at 3. And now I wonder what 6 and 10 and 16 will be like.

I have a feeling you will continue to blow me away. I love you so much. I hope you will always know that no matter what, I am your biggest fan.  Happy 3rd Birthday my love!

Love, Momma

Aww, so sweet! Blake always said "my" instead of "I" too.

Thanks Em! I should probably correct her but it is cute and I know she will get it right soon enough. :)
