Weekend Wrap Up

Happy Labor Day! I hope everyone has had an enjoyable and relaxing Labor Day weekend!

We started our Thursday morning with a follow up appointment for our 3 year old at the orthopedic doctor.  She saw him back in May about her knees.  She is knock kneed, but he feels she will likely just grow out of it without any intervention.  At this appointment, he said they looked slightly better but he wants to see her again in six months.

The weather was beautiful on Thursday so we stopped at the firetruck park after we picked up the older two kids at school.

She's always making me laugh!

Our 3 year old was pretty sure she could climb the rock wall too!

I was able to get this picture once our son decided to get out of the Pilot.  Kids!

I don't think either of our girls can cross the monkey bars on their own, but it was so cute watching them help each other! ;)

She's a monkey girl.

She is so focused!

I just love her!

The kids asked to stop at the same park after school on Friday. #yesmom

We have spent so much time lately trying to finalize house decisions! On Saturday we narrowed our red options down to six and bought a small sample of each of them. We painted extra hardy boards from the new house to see how red samples looked on a larger surface. The kids thought it was fun to help paint!

This girl loves to help!

Our littlest painter. ;)

I painted my favorite of the colors we bought. I like the name too; crabby apple. Ha ha!

Christopher painted his favorite; cottage red.

My bestie Jacinda and her family were in the area visiting from Tennessee and we got to see Brad, Jacinda and the baby on Saturday night! Their older three were spending time with their cousins at Jacinda's parents house. The kids were SO excited to see the baby!

They each took a turn holding her while we waited to be seated for dinner. Even our son kept telling Jacinda how sweet and cute their baby is. ;)

They always have a busy schedule when they are here so I'm always thankful we get to spend some time with them; even if it is just a few hours!

This girl would not sit down at dinner until we figured out a way for her to be able to sit by the baby! It was so nice to see them. We just love their family!

Sunday started out a little rough, but a passion tea lemonade cheered me up! ;)

We did a lot of errand running this weekend, so we took a little break to let the kids play on Sunday evening.

Love these 3!

Trying the monkey bars again with some help from Dad this time.

We took the kids bowling this morning and the boys also did the bumper cars. It was fun watching them!

Our son was so loud as he narrated and as he crashed in to Christopher!

Our 5 year old bowled a 113 (or close to it) the first game. She had bumpers and used a ramp, but that was still a good score!

I sell our outgrown children's clothes at a big children's clothing and toys resale twice a year. I realized just the other day that we have to have our clothes ready for drop off a week from today!! Our 5 year old was a huge help sorting through all our totes of clothes in the garage this afternoon while the other two played in the driveway in front of the garage.

We wrapped up our 3 day weekend with a stop for frozen yogurt. Yum!

I feel like we've been doing a lot of the same things every weekend lately. I hope even though we have to do a lot with the new construction that we still squeeze in some simple end of summer fun for the kids! Happy Labor Day!
