Recipe Round-Up

I have spent a lot of time on this Monday snow day thinking about meal planning. When you are snowed in, what else is there to do but eat? ;) I was thinking about our "go to" recipes, the crowd pleasers for my three picky eaters. I have the recipes in my recipe book but I thought it might be nice to have them all in one blog post as well. I'm always looking for new recipes so I thought I should share the ones we love. They are all very easy recipes, because as I've said before; with a 7, 4, and very busy 2 year old easy is what we do here!

I got this recipe for my bridal shower and it is a big hit with the kids!

This is a yummy twist on Hawaiian pizza.  My fav!

This has been a favorite in our family for several years.  Delicious comfort food!

Chicken and noodles with mashed potatoes is one of my favorite meals.  Such an easy way to make them in the crockpot!

This is another recipe that has been a favorite for years.  It is a stovetop meal so it is quick and easy when you don't have a lot of time to get dinner on the table!

A less messy version of traditional spaghetti, which I've appreciated with young children.

I pinned this one within the last year or two and the kids love it.  Very easy!

When I make chicken alfredo, I cook it a little differently.  Here is my personal recipe.

Shopping List

Approximately 2 1/2 to 3 cups pasta
(I use penne because my kids don't like fettucine noodles for some reason) .
1 jar Alfredo sauce (Newman's Own is a good choice)
1-12.5 ounce can of chicken (or two smaller cans)
Garlic Powder
Salt & Pepper

As the pasta is boiling I put the canned chicken (or two smaller cans) in my crockpot and add the alfredo sauce.  I let it cook on low while the pasta is boiling.  I add some garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste.  Once the pasta is ready, I add it to the crockpot and stir.  I let it cook on low approximately 20-30 min, just long enough to heat it all through.

Quite possibly the easiest meal to prepare!  I'm sure the link above is lower calorie and healthier though so I wanted to include a link to that also. ;)

A delicious soup our whole family loves!

 {TACOS}

I make a very simple version of tacos for our family, but I plan to try to the tacos in the link above soon!  They sound delicious!

I have tried a couple of new recipes lately that I liked from Mix and Match Mama's blog. The next three could be on their way to becoming new favorites!

I was a little hesitant to try this soup because my kids don't normally eat tomatoes (and let's be honest, neither do I), but this was a hit!  It was full of flavor, and very easy to prepare!

When all three of my picky eaters will finish their dinner without complaining, I know it is a recipe to add to our rotation!

I've been using the extra cream cheese from this recipe for turkey roll ups for my lunch.  Yum!

This is a recipe I tried recently that I thought was okay.  The kids all ate it, but it was not a favorite of theirs.  I'm not sure if it is one I will make again, but your family might love it!

I thought this recipe was yummy!  My kids, however, did not like it as much.  Our 2 year old enjoyed it but the older two complained through most of dinner.  I would say it's one to try if your kids will eat their veggies!

Those are our current favorites.  I plan to get back to posting new recipes that we love or old recipes that we love that I may have forgotten.  If you have any family favorites you would like to share; please share them in the comments!  New recipes are always nice, especially the ones you know your family and friends love.  Happy meal planning!
