Build and Grow

I took our son to his first Build and Grow workshop this weekend. He really liked the Cars and Cars 2 movies and has been so excited about Planes coming to theaters! When I saw they were offering a workshop to build one of the Planes from the movie, I knew he would love it. We were happy that Sarah signed their boys up for the same workshop!

I can't think of a time when he has used a hammer before, but I was impressed with his hammering skills! I only got my fingers pounded a few times. ;)

He is focused! 

This workshop was really a workshop for the parents. I had to ask Sarah and her husband a few questions to make sure we were putting our plane together correctly! ;) I did take woodworking in 4-H but that was quite a few years ago!!

I wanted to get a picture of him holding his Plane wearing his apron and badge from Lowe's but he didn't want a picture. His sister was happy to have her picture taken though.

It was so nice to spend a little time with just my sweet guy without the girls taking most of my attention! We will definitely do another workshop sometime! :)
