A Baby Shower

I was so excited to have my bestie home this holiday weekend. They are expecting a precious baby girl at the end of October and I couldn't be more happy for them!! She had a baby shower Saturday morning hosted by her Mom, sister and I. Her mom and sister did most of the work and a lot of Jacinda's aunts helped with the food, gift opening and cleaning up, but my girls and I were able to help decorate some on Friday and help with the games, gift opening and a little of the clean up. My 4 year old may have helped more than I did! ;) She was soaking up the attention and being so sweet!

This pretty little 2 year old looks like she is up to no good. ;)

Our sweet 4 year old

One of Jacinda's aunts came up with a couple of cute games. One was to think of something you have never done, and if the other guests had done that particular thing they had to put change in a piggy bank for baby's college fund. Jocelyn, Jacinda's sister, quickly realized it would take too long to have people get up and walk to the piggy bank each time so she asked our daughter to walk from table to table with this cup and collect the change. She was so proud to be able to help. :)

While her sister was busy helping, this busy girl stole Mommy's shoes and was walking around in them. ;)

Love her! Even when she steals my shoes. They were too small and hurt my feet anyway (and not really very cute). Goodwill here they come!

The adorable cake. Jacinda loves her role as a farmer's wife and stay at home Mom!

Jacinda had SO many gifts to open! I think she had been opening for about an hour and the table still looked full! Her daughter is 12 and her step-daughter is the youngest of their blended family and she is 9 so they didn't have any baby stuff. They do now! Our 4 year old loved handing her the gifts and helping her open them. :)

The momma-to-be and I. Love this lady so much!!

This was a special baby shower.  Jacinda waited a long time for her prince charming.  I am so happy she found him and they are having this beautiful baby together.  I love that she is so happy now, even though it meant her moving 8 hours away.

I know if we have any other baby showers to attend in the near future, our 4 year old might be very disappointed! She had such a good time at this one. :) She loves to help and she really liked meeting Jacinda's sister, Mom and Grandma and playing with the other girls there. We love you Jacinda and can't wait until baby arrives!!
