Weekend Wrap Up

Happy Tuesday! Whew, what a busy and fun weekend. Those are my very favorite kind! Unfortunately that means I'm doing my weekend wrap up on Tuesday. That's ok! Warning, this post is going to be a long one. ;)

Christopher worked an 18 hour day on Thursday so he was off on Friday. We used the day to run a bunch of errands with our 3 year old in tow. I think she loved the one on one time with Daddy and Mommy. That rarely ever happens! She loved these sunglasses. ;)

Our kindergartner loves wearing jewelry lately. She is always asking if she can wear my "thankful" MudLove bracelet. We picked this one up for her on Friday. :)

I've been searching for a pair of Twinkles Ruffles from Matilda Jane and was happy to be able to snag a pair on one of the MJ facebook groups. I bought them with our kindergartner in mind but they are just a little bit too short for her. Little sister was pretty excited to have her piece of MJ.

This girl and I played while Christopher assisted the cable guy with hooking up our cable and wi-fi! This was an exciting day. We canceled cable when we sold our last house and moved to a rental in July 2013. We've had basic tv for almost 2 years! Cable is by no means a necessity but I missed my DVR!!

I got out some unopened Christmas gifts when I was cleaning out the garage earlier in the week and the girls had a great time playing with them after school.

I've said it before but our kindergartner is such a little artist. She drew this for me before I left to preshop the resale on Friday night. (It's me at the resale. I love the details. I don't know about those shoes though!) ;)

Kelsey, Angie and I tried to get a good picture before the resale. You wouldn't believe how many tries it took.

I liked this one but it wasn't Angie's favorite.

I liked this one too but it wasn't Kelsey's favorite. (Ever notice how women always seem to be their own worst critic?!)

The clothes are sorted by boy/girl and by size at the resale. I always find a group of shirts by the same seller that I love for our son. It's always worked out so I'm guessing she has a son a year older than ours. I was so bummed that I could not find any of her shirts this time! :/ I did find this shirt for our racing fan and knew he would love it.

Sorting what we want to keep and what we are putting back.

I love our spring and fall tradition of preshopping and then having drinks and appetizers after. It is always a fun night!

The girls (and their bedhead) are always excited to see what I found for them the next morning.

This little lady is signed up to play tee-ball this spring. I think she might already have a mitt, but I couldn't pass up this adorable pink one for $4!

He's never very interested in seeing what I found for him. He's pretty laid back about what he wears. He will wear whatever I have in mind for the day. For some reason, he decided to see if he still fits in the clothes basket though. Ha ha!

The love of all things Lalaloopsy continues at our house. These two were so excited that I found them both a full sized Lalaloopsy doll.

They were having a best sister kind of morning and decided to model some of my resale finds. :)

I think this is my favorite. Ha ha!

Outfit change. I love the hand on the hip. ;)

We had an elearning day to make up so we got that finished on Saturday morning also. Yay for finally having wi-fi. We were tempted to smash our piece of junk wand (that always disconnected and had a data limit that we always went over) in to little pieces. But we refrained. Ha ha! I loved this picture our kindergartner did as part of her assignments.

Saturday evening it was still a little bit chilly, but it was warm enough that we could play outside in light jackets for a little while. We needed the fresh air!

First sidewalk chalk art on the new driveway; rainbows and hearts that say Mom inside them.

I think she said her drawing was also a rainbow. ;)

This guy wanted to play tic tac toe.

She's learning how to jump rope in gym class and I see a lot of improvement. She was excited to show me what she has learned! I love that cute little photo bomb too. ;)

Sunday I took a little road trip with these cuties to visit my friend Emily from college. Her husband works Sundays so we made it a Moms and kids day.

These two were ready to do a little digging. ;)

His expression is so funny to me! Deer in headlights for sure. Ha ha!

We attempted a group picture and this is the best we got.

The girls listened to a few facts about dinosaurs, and held what the lady told them was dinosaur poo. Why would you pick up something that is supposed to be dinosaur poo?!

The boys were in to a movie about the life of a particular dinosaur.

My little crew and I in the train station. I can't wait to upgrade my phone (I've had mine for 3 1/2 years!) so I can take better quality pictures. Because who uses an actual camera anymore? ;)

This sweet girl had so much fun! On our last visit to the Children's Museum it was over spring break two years ago and incredibly packed; making it stressful. Sunday's visit was much different. It was busy but not chaotic.

Model trains!

My girls always want to have their picture taken. ;)

The carousel was a hit, as always!

I stood next to her but I think she would have actually been fine on her own.

We had Emily's daughter attempt a picture of the two of us. I say this every time we see Emily and the kids but I am so thankful for her friendship. We can go months without seeing each other, but we always have the best time together!   (I don't know what is with  my hair in this picture!)

This was a fun activity! I have more pictures of her than the other two because Emily was with the boys at the water table and the other two girls were going in a cave right next to us over and over again. :)

The kids and the couch potato!

Emily and I and the couch potato. ;)

Water table fun!

The boys played at the water table for the longest time.

I love this one of Emily's daughter.

That smile!

Doing a little digging in the mulch ;)

Monkey see, monkey do.

This slide is an exit to a "cave". The first time our 5 year old went in with the other girls Emily had to help her back out and she was crying. She said it was too dark! The other girls went again and again (our 3 year old has no fear), and eventually she wanted to try again. You can tell by the look on her face, she loved it!

This was easily her favorite part of the museum. If you look closely you can see all three girls. :)

This race car loving guy was happy about this! I think he's making a tough face. Ha ha!

His sisters had to take a turn too.

I'm not sure why she looks so thrilled here. She really did want a turn! ;)

The kids all did "China writing" as Emily's son called it, for a long time!

Two crazy girls by the Transformer.

Emily took this cute one of the boys while the girls and I were in the little ladies room.

What a great day at the museum! We may or may not have bribed them with cookies to get this picture. Whatever works! We were there from 11-5 and had no meltdowns!! We were pleasantly surprised. Our kids all got along so well and Emily and I were even able to actually chat which is no small feat when you're at a Children's Museum with 5 kids. ;)

And then it took us forever to walk out because a certain someone insisted on pushing the stroller instead of riding in it! I rarely use the stroller anymore (it's old and has been well loved) but thought it would be a good idea to take it for a full day at the museum.

The kids and I made a quick stop at one of my favorite stores on our way home. This is the closest one to us, so we had to stop!

I think this was their second time at The Container Store. They were impressed. ;)

They all wanted to sit on these. I don't know what they were called, but they were fun!

On the way home, we had to stop for another potty break. Girls!! I couldn't leave without a quick picture with Ronald. ;)

What a fun weekend! I hope your week is off to a great start!!
