Weekend Wrap Up

Happy Monday friends! This weekend was filled with Christmas fun and some much needed girl time with a few friends. I can't believe it's only 10 days until Christmas! As usual, I'm feeling like there is a list a mile long of things that need to be done before then. We are still trying to enjoy the season in the midst of the crazy.

Our 3 year old gets so tired in the afternoons. Most days she will tell me, "my too tired, my going to take a nap" on the way to pick up her brother and sister. The poor girl is sleeping like this a lot of times when I look at her in the rear view mirror.

That looks a lot more comfortable!

We had to run in to the grocery store and pick up a few things on the way home from school. I turned around to see our kindergartner wearing a princess crown and holding a toy magnifying glass. Yes, she wore the crown in to the store. ;) #yesmom

Our son pretended to play a video game while we waited on a pizza.

The kids watched Home Alone 2: Lost in New York and they loved it!

They helped wrap all the grandparent gifts they chose from the Holiday Shop at their school.

It is so cute to see what they chose as their gifts. Our son got all three grandpas something Cubs related and none of them are Cubs fans. Ha ha! He's proud of his choices though.

Thank you Wal-Mart for the cute selection of 27 cent gift bags!

On Saturday morning we met my high school friend Sara and her three boys for Breakfast with Santa. We try to go together every year. The kids love it! It was our 3 year old's first time going and she did so well. We also went to Breakfast with Santa in 2010, 2011, and 2012. Our son was pretending he didn't want to be in the picture. See him there behind the snowman? ;)

She was watching intently as Santa made his grand entrance.

Sara and her three handsome men!

All the kids waiting in line to see Santa. Sara had a +1. The little girl she used to babysit for was so cute in her red dress!

I attempted a picture with my three little loves.

They were happy to get to see Santa again. The girls both told him what they want, but our son couldn't narrow it done to just one thing. That boy!

Ah, I love this one. :)

They perform a little play at the end of the breakfast. They closed with a live nativity scene. It was so peaceful and beautiful.

One more quick attempt at getting a good picture of the kids and I. ;)

Saturday was also Christopher's birthday, on 12-13-14. The kids were so excited to each pick out a balloon for Daddy's birthday. Our 3 year old choose a Mickey Mouse balloon. At least it did say Happy Birthday.

The birthday balloons!   The girls drew cards and our son gave him one of the two gifts he bought for him at the holiday shop.  We had a yummy lunch at Logan's Roadhouse.  Happy Birthday Christopher!

On Saturday night a couple of friends from high school and I had a girls night! We haven't had a girl's night in ages!

Kelsey and I

Sara and I. I love that even 16 years after high school we are still friends. It was fun to have a night out with the girls, but this Momma is not used to staying out late! I was so tired on Sunday! ;)

We went Christmas shopping with my Mom and younger brother after church on Sunday. The kids were practicing their live mannequin skills at the mall. Ha ha!

I made them get out of the window after I snapped their picture a couple of times. Excuse the lady photo bombing in the back.

We stopped and got Auntie Anne's pretzels. Apparently even a yummy snack wasn't enough to make some people happy. ;)

That's a little better.

Love stores with areas for kids to play!

We didn't get their picture taken with Santa at the mall, but the kids liked watching the dancing animals in Santa's workshop.

A moment of sisterly love!

The older two were good helpers at frosting cookies on Sunday night. Our 3 year old helped me with the sprinkles.

Our son frosted a few cookies and decided he would rather watch a movie. Our 5 year old helped until all the cookies were frosted though and she was doing such a great job!

We had a fun weekend filled with Christmas activities, family and friends. Have a great week!
