Weekend Wrap Up: Holiday Fun Edition

Mondays after a long weekend are hard! I don't think we are really ready to get back in to the swing of school and work around here. It was so nice having a long weekend with the kids though!

Our handsome guy has had two loose teeth on the bottom for a while now. I didn't even realize how loose they were because I had been so focused on getting his top middle teeth out! He hit himself in the mouth when he was dancing on Thanksgiving and knocked one tooth even more loose. On Friday morning he was playing and he wiggled out his 3rd tooth in a couple weeks time! I love when he gets them out so I don't have to pull them!

On Friday we went to the Festival of Trees as a family. We haven't been since 2010 so the kids didn't really remember ever going before. The Frozen themed tree was a huge hit of course!

My cousin Rachel made these pillowcase dresses for our girls two or three years ago. I thought they looked cute as shirts for this year. :)

Christopher and our 3 year old in front of the hockey themed tree.

Another of the hockey themed tree.

The Hungry Little Caterpillar themed tree was so cute too!

We used to read the book every night!

The kids also got to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus! They were all three a little shy actually, but they did give Santa an idea or two.

The kids in front of a Christmas train.

The guys liked this sports themed tree.  I made sure to get the Badgers spatula in the picture for our Wisconsin family. :)

We got home and our 5 year old decided to play dress up with some of my jewelry.

And her little sister requested snacks. ;)

We went to dinner on Friday night and surprised the kids by driving through the Festival of Lights after. They love to see all the lights! I remember doing this as a kid so it makes it even more special.

It's hard to get a great picture because you're in a moving car, trying to take a picture of lights. ;)

The penguins and igloo are fun.

Santa on a motorcycle makes the kids laugh.

Our 5 year old remembered that there was a Grinch. She has a love/hate relationship with the Grinch. She used to have nightmares about him, but she's decided that she likes him now. I think she's still not sure.

I was caller #9 to a local country station earlier this week and won two free tickets to Saturday night's hockey game. Christopher is a huge hockey fan so that was fun.

Grandpa Ken sent me this picture while he and my Mom were watching the kids. They had our 3 year old under control. ;)

We got home and I saw this Lalaloopsy sitting on the couch. Our 5 year old explained on Sunday morning that she put her there so robbers would think we were home. (We watched Home Alone earlier this week and I think she got some ideas from Kevin.) Ha ha!

On Sunday afternoon we had our Thanksgiving/Christmas with my Mom's side of the family. I thought it was cute that my nephew sat with the other "little kids".

The girls in the vests, or as Clarissa called us "vesties". Ha ha!

Love these two!

My cousin Beth and her sweet four month old. He wasn't the happiest when I tried to take his picture but we had a little talk. I told him he was too handsome to be mad. ;)

My cousin Rachel and I

The kids played hide and go seek while the adults played cards. I love these crazy cousins!   I asked our 3 year old what happened to the bow in her hair.  It's in her hand.  Kids!

They would stand with their faces to the wall as they counted. Ha ha! (I know what it looks like, but they really were counting).  The six of them play so well together. They have their little fights and arguments but they really love each other.

All I wanted was a picture of me with my three little loves and this is what I got. I do love seeing their personalities though. They're one crazy trio. ;) I am so blessed to be their Mom!

And a little inspiration to start the week. Have a great one!
