Weekend Wrap Up

Happy Monday! I love that it is a holiday week! I'm looking forward to spending a few extra days with the older two kiddos this week and celebrating all the reasons we have to be thankful with our extended family.

On Thursday morning I took all 3 kids to the dentist for cleanings. Our son has so much anxiety about the dentist! His cleaning probably took twice as long as it should have because of his stalling and questions but we got through it. The poor guy has two small cavities that are going to need to be filled. :(

The girls were the complete opposite (thankfully)! They were excited to get their teeth cleaned. Look at that smile. This was before she gagged and nearly choked on an x-ray but she did really well! No cavities for her!

This was our sweet 3 year old's first real cleaning. She had a "cleaning" when she was just over a year old, but she didn't have any teeth at that time. She sat so still and did a great job! No cavities for her!

On Thursday night the girls were playing and this happened. Our 5 year old was obviously being our 3 year old's dentist. Love it.

She even got out her "dentist coat" (one of my fall jackets). ;)

They have such a sweet bond! They do their share of fighting but I love their "best sister" times.

I didn't take many pictures on Friday because my sister and I were busy packing! Our 3 year old was really good while we worked on getting packed. We have a good start! I was hoping to stay motivated and get more packing done this weekend but it didn't really happen.  Thank you so much for helping me pack seester!

It was freezing rain on Saturday morning so instead of getting donuts like we normally do, this pretty girl and I made banana muffins while we listened to Michael Buble Christmas.

And then she drew some sweet pictures on the easel, in her cowgirl hat and Christmas pajamas. Because, why not? ;)

Her Dad challenged her to write all her letters and her numbers to 20. She did a great job! She can actually write her numbers to 100.  The lower case "g" and the number "6" were the only corrections she had to make. She still gets some of her letters and numbers backwards at times.

Our son and I ended up having some Mommy and son time on Saturday night. We ordered a pizza, watched Cars and played Monopoly Jr. Party edition.

Holiday pajamas and gift game pieces.  ;)

Christopher and the girls got home and the girls wanted to play too. They all thought it was funny to put the game pieces on their fingers. #easilyamused

We celebrated Thanksgiving with my Dad's side of the family on Sunday. Love these cousins!

My nephew looked so handsome!

We love to play UNO at our house so we took it with us to our Thanksgiving. The kids all lasted one game. Ha ha!

And then the boys got distracted!

My sister cooked the turkey and made noodles and apple crisp. I brought green bean casserole, 2 liters of pop and King's Hawaiian rolls. That explains the differences in our cooking skills perfectly. ;)

It was so nice to see this lovely young lady and the rest of the family who was able to make it to Thanksgiving. Love her!

I think it is so cute how my 88 year old Grandpa has his hats displayed. :) I wish I would have taken pictures of the kids wearing them!  They did a good job entertaining themselves while the adults played cards.

Have a great week!
