Weekend Wrap Up

Happy Monday friends!  I hope you all had a good weekend.  This is our son's birthday week and my in-laws are coming in to town for the weekend.  We are looking forward to their visit!

We had a low key Friday night. We ordered pizza, put on pj's and played the Frozen matching game. This girl was being hilarious when she would find a match!

I had been hearing great things about the movie Blended so I was happy I could get it on Redbox on Friday night! It did not disappoint! I laughed and I cried! It is my favorite movie I have seen in a long time.

There are train tracks close to the field where our son plays fall baseball. Little sister was excited when a train came by, but it was a little too loud for her.

My Mom, sister, nephew and niece came to the game. The girls were keeping themselves busy styling each other's hair. ;)

Cousins! We were just missing my other nephew. He's been to a game but wasn't there this Saturday.

The girls love their cousin!

Ken and my brother Travis ran a half marathon on Saturday morning and then went back to their house. My other brother and sister were both having lunch there with their kids. The girls and I went to visit with everyone for a few hours. For some reason they were talking about doing push-ups and head and hand stands so the girls decided to try to do hand stands.  (Pretend you didn't see this picture of their feet on your wall Grandpa and Grandma!  Travis was doing it first.) ;)

Robert brought my nephew's Gator and the younger kids took turns driving it. They loved it!

Sisters! Our 5 year old was driving and heading straight for one of the cornhole boards! I tried to stop her and she ran the board in to my foot. Ouch!!

My nephew and niece

This crazy girl thought she was big stuff when she snuck in the driver's seat and took off! Ha ha!

We had to get a sibling picture since the four of us were all together.

Our 5 year old has been asking me to teach her how to tie her shoes. She was pretty close and I told her to ask Aunt Stacey how to do it. She taught her yesterday!! She is such a quick learner! Thanks Stace!

We needed a laugh on Saturday! Sometimes it feels good to be a little crazy. Ha ha!

My Mom and sister had to go to work and Travis had to get back to college. The rest of us decided to take the kids to ride a few rides at the fair.

The sun was in their eyes but it's still a cute picture.

We tried a few games; the bowler roller, a baseball game, and this one. No winners! We had fun trying though. ;)

After the games it was time for the rides.  They loved them!

I love these sisters!

Big smiles!

Ready for some spinning fun.

They love it!

I wasn't sure how our 3 year old would feel about this big swing but she wasn't scared at all!

Her hair!

They rode the Dragon roller coaster last. There were no tears but we saw some unsure looks on the faces of the younger two as they went around the corners. Our 3 year old said, "that tickled my belly and my did not love that ride". Ha ha! She told us later that she DID like the ride.

We walked past a little park that my kid's have nick named "pirate park" on the way to the car. The kids wanted to play for a few minutes! It is a cute little park.

Pretty lady! I hate that our son missed out on all the fun, but he wanted to stay home and have a Daddy/son day. He was pretty mad when he heard we went to "pirate park" without him though!

My nephew has the best personality. He's so happy and sweet!

Our 5 year old had said earlier in the day that her throat hurt a little but I didn't think too much of it. I felt her forehead and it wasn't warm. She started to look pretty tired at the fair, and on the way to dinner she started to really feel rough. I felt her head again and it felt like she could be running a low grade fever. She didn't eat much at dinner and was ready for bed when we got home! I put Vicks on her, gave her some Motrin and she was out.

Sunday morning Ken and my Mom missed church to meet us for breakfast at 8 and then all go to the new house to work on the lot again. Our son kept himself busy moving stones!

Our 3 year old hitched a ride with Daddy on the mower for a few minutes.

Then she used her little tool to help pick up some sticks.

This sweet girl ate a great breakfast but started to feel crummy again after we were at the house for a while so I told her to try to rest.

Resting sounded like a lot less fun than riding on the four wheeler with Grandpa though!

Don't worry, she wasn't driving! ;)

Grandma driving with the girls. The painter has been working on the outside. He has a little over half of the hardy planks painted red. That is why half of the house is red and half is not. It won't stay that way. Ha ha!

We saw a couple of frogs (or toads; I honestly don't know how to tell the difference) as we were finishing up. Our son named the big one Uncle Froggy and the smaller one Froggy.  Thank you so much Ken and Mom for all your help!  We appreciate it!

This little lady fell asleep on the couch Sunday night and she looked so comfortable.  I just love her!

I came across this on Instagram and I love it! I am thankful to have family and friends in my life who are my sunshine when skies seem grey!

And just a little funny to start the week! I do a lot of texting but very rarely talk on the phone anymore so this spoke to me. ;)

 Have a great week!
