Out of the Blue Care Package

Last week I mailed out an "Out of the Blue" care package to my youngest brother who just started his freshman year of college.  I got the idea from Rachel at Floral and Fudge and used a few of the same items she posted here to fill my box.  Thanks for sharing Rachel!

I was able to find all of the items at Wal-Mart and the Dollar Tree.

I included the following: 

1. 2 pk of Blue Plastic Tumblers

2. Oreo Minis

3. Mini Chips Ahoy

4. Cool Ranch Doritos

5. Blue Glow-in-the-dark bracelets

6. Blue Paper Straws

7. Airheads

8. Purel Hand Sanitizer

9. Small blue garbage bags

10. 2 pk kitchen towels
11.  Extra gum
12. Chapstick
13.  Bicycle playing cards
14.  Pencil box

I tried to remember what I needed/wanted in college!  It's been ahem, 16 years (what?!), since my freshman year of college so I really had to think.  The pencil box was Travis's request and I had to add the hand sanitizer for a laugh.  I'm a big fan of hand sanitizer and my family tends to think I'm a little over board.

I also threw in a few blue balloons and blue crinkle paper from Dollar Tree to use for filler in the boxes. I hope it put a smile on my brother's face.  I know how much I loved getting mail when I was in school so I am going to try to send him care packages regularly. :)
