"Be careful who you call your friends. I'd rather have 4 quarters than 100 pennies any day." I would rather have a handful of friends that I know I can really trust and count on than 100 acquaintances. There are certainly seasons with friendships, but I am thankful to be able to say I tend to have friends I know will be lifelong friends.
My annual girls weekend with three of my college friends is just a few weeks away and it got me thinking about my friendship with the three of them. I thought it would be fun to post some #throwbackthursday pictures of the 4 of us over the years.
Our mud volleyball team my senior year of college May 2002. We have lots more pictures from college but the ones I am posting are all after college except this first one. I know you are jealous of the way my hair is styled here!
I don't know the exact date this was taken, but I know it was Fall or Winter 2002 at the apartment I shared with my cousin Rachel after college. We have so many pictures with this exact pose! ;)

February 2004 at the house Brooke and Miranda rented together
Tara's bachelorette party May 2004!
The four of us at Buffalo Wild Wings after a hockey game with our guys Fall 2004. I'm sporting the lovely adult braces.
Ringing in 2005 at William and Brooke's house.
Miranda's bachelorette party. Yes, that is what you think it is on her head. ;)

Girlfriends at my 30th birthday party July 2010! My high school friend Kelsey had been there too but left before I thought to do a group photo.
And our annual girls weekend photos that can be found in previous posts:
I am so thankful not only for these three but for all the ladies in my life that I am blessed to call friend, both old friends and new ones. This quote by Lysa TerKeurst says it so well, “A landmark study suggests friendships between women are special.
They shape who we are and who we are yet to be. They soothe our
troubles, fill the emotional gaps in our marriage, and help us remember
who we really are.” I've already used this quote in a previous post but it is worth posting again. I couldn't agree more!
