Happy Wednesday! It is snow day #14 here. Isn't it March 12?? I'm going to be spending part of my morning removing gum from our dryer. I have a feeling our 2 year old's gum obsession may be the culprit. What did we do before Pinterest? I'm going to try using a wet dryer sheet. Let's hope it works!
Day 64: Sarah and I (and my 2 year old) met at Starbucks to celebrate her birthday after we dropped off our preschoolers. They have pretty strict rules about taking a photo in their buildings! No logos or anything allowed in the pictures, so we stood in front of this painting. At least after a year and a half of friendship we finally have a picture together! A picture that includes our faces that is, unlike the one in this post. ;) I hope you had a happy Birthday dear friend!
Day 65: Last winter session basketball game. Our son was SO excited to have his first trophy!! And the snack too, of course.
Day 66: Friday morning fun at toddler time!
Day 67: Watching my nephew's basketball game. I don't know if I would really say they were "watching" the game, but they were being good! :)
Day 68: My whole world ♥
This was not until after 10:00 pm on Sunday though! Daylight savings time is not our friend!
Day 69: Shopping with our 4 year old's class "kangaroo". That's what she called it anyway. It isn't a kangaroo but I don't know what it is so we will go with that. ;) She got to bring him home for the night along with the book "Put Me in the Zoo".
Day 70: I did my volunteer hours for the upcoming children's clothing and toy resale. I love that I get to spend 4 1/2 hours with one of my oldest friends. She lives almost 2 hours away now and we don't see each other very often. We've been friends since 7th grade and I love that we are still close after all these years. We blame poor lighting for the not so fabulous picture. ;)
Just for fun and because I've been in to the throwback pictures the last few posts, here we are at our senior prom in 1998!
And at our 10 year class reunion in 2008!
We don't buy the boxed rice krispie treats often but the kids love them when we do. I saw a recipe for Lucky Charms Treats on Mix and Match Mama's foodie blog a week or two ago and the girls and I made them on Monday. This is the first I can remember making a rice krispie type treat since I've been a Mom. Mom fail! They were yummy. Brooke, your girls would love these!! Our 4 year old asked how we get them in the blue packaging once they are ready to eat. ;) We will definitely be making them again soon!
Inspirational quotes for the week:
