Girls Weekend 2012

Three of my college friends and I had our annual girls trip this weekend. We met early in the day for shopping and lunch and then had our massages later in the evening. Other years we have done massages first and then ended up shopping for so long that we didn't eat dinner until after 10pm! We thought if we had a scheduled massage time we could get to dinner a little earlier.

We were too busy shopping to get any pictures until our spa appointments. We took a break for lunch at the food court. I had orange chicken and rice. Love it and I do not get it very often because the munchkins aren't fans of Chinese. We are all shopped out and ready for a massage! 

A yearly massage is such a great idea!  Actually I think a monthly massage is an even better idea; but we get them at least once a year on our girls weekend.

We thought we would get all our shopping done before our massages this year, but we didn't make it to The Container Store.  I really wanted to check it out and get some things for organizing our pantry and closets so we went after our massages.  It is huge and slightly overwhelming, but it is amazing!  I found new cases for all of our DVD's, organizers for the pantry and a few other fun things.  I love this store!

Myself and Miranda at the Cheesecake Factory. We may be a little predictable. This was the 2nd or maybe even the 3rd year we shared the same delicious dish; the Chicken Madeira, a sauteed chicken breast served with asparagus and mashed potatoes. Doesn't it make you hungry? ;) It is so good!

No dinner at the Cheesecake Factory is complete without a piece of their delicious cheesecake!  

We had a great weekend getting pampered, shopping, chatting and catching up.  I am so glad we started doing this once a year!  It was great to see you girls. I think I may have found two of my new favorite stores; Forever 21 and The Container store!  Can't wait until next year!
