Indoor Fun

Even though the weather is getting warmer and the kiddos love to be outside, they have fun playing inside too. We brought the cube n slide that I found at a garage sale last summer inside the house and put it in the basement. Our little girl is big enough that she can play in it now and they both had fun sliding and climbing around in it.

We also got out this little firetruck that our son LOVED when he was younger and let our sweet girl try it out. She already seems to love it too and was making us laugh putting her feet up like she wasn't going to do any work; she wanted us to push her around.

Almost every day I look at my children and can not believe how much they change all the time. Our son is learning so much and he's getting tall and really starting to figure things out. His latest funny saying is "we don't have time for this." I wonder where he has heard that. It couldn't possibly be from his mommy who always seems to be running late! He also tells us he loves us very very very very very very MUCH! We have started talking about red lights and green lights so he will usually tell us what color the stop light is when we come to one and if that means we need to stop or to go. He asks me which way we need to go a lot too so I'm working on teaching him his left and right. A lot of times in the morning he will tell me that he took a LONG nap. I've told him it's not really a nap; it's sleeping at bedtime but it's cute that he refers to it as a long nap.

Our little princess loves to stand and gets around really well crusing along furniture and keeping her balance holding on to whatever is near her. As of yesterday she's even taking 5 to 6 steps at a time on her own! How is she SO big already?!? She thinks her brother's room is great and makes her way in there with lightning speed whenever she can.

She loves the remote controls and our cell phones; although we try not to let her play with our cell phones. I've heard they are full of germs and bacteria- eww! Her latest "trick" is putting her hand to her ear like in the picture below when we say "hello". We think she's just about the cutest thing ever.
