Oh Baby!

I was lucky enough to have the day off for President's Day yesterday giving me a 3 day weekend. I love spending extra days with my little man. We went to my niece's 1st birthday party on Friday night even though our little guy was so sick last week with an upper respiratory infection. We are very thankful that by Saturday morning the amoxicillin kicked in and he is feeling much much better now. (Below is the sick little man at the bday party). I tried to keep him away from the other kiddos just in case. I don't want to infect anyone else's children but I also didn't want to miss my niece's 1st birthday party.




Here's the sweet birthday girl at her party. She is the happiest, sweetest baby! We are hoping our little girl has a personality like hers.



We had a low key Valentine's day because we're so busy getting ready to move but we did have lunch at Bandidos. Yum! Sunday and Monday I spent a lot of time cleaning the rental. That worked out perfectly because about 7 Monday night the lady we're renting from called and asked if she could schedule a showing for Tuesday at 2:30. I would have normally been a little irked by the short notice but since the house was already clean it was fine. I try to work with her as much as possible because it could not have worked out better that we were able to rent this house. She has been very accomodating and kind about us not knowing when we're going to be moving out, etc.
Speaking of moving, it's official! We close on the new house on March 2nd. We're so excited and at the same time overwhelmed. There is so much to do when you move! And this VPG (very pregnant girl) is not going to be much (any) help this time. I have tried to plan ahead as much as possible and pack up everything we don't use on a day to day basis. I hope that's going be a big help. We have an insane amount of totes and boxes packed and ready to go. We sold our living room set, kitchen table and chairs, bar stools, and master bedroom set to our buyers of the old house so that is a lot less big furniture to have to move. At the same time, that also means that hubby and VPG need to do some furniture shopping soon.

As our little guy took a 2 1/2 hour nap yesterday and I was enjoying my free time I started to think about how soon our little princess is going to be here. I realized I am due in just a little over 3 months! This pregnancy has really flown by with all the other stuff going on, working full time, and chasing around a 2 year old. With my first pregnancy it was all hubby and I really focused on. We had the nursery painted and ready months in advance, clothes washed and neatly put in dresser drawers, pictures on the walls; you get the idea. I started to panic a little thinking about only having a little over 2 months to get settled in to the new house before she makes her arrival. We haven't bought anything "girl" yet. We have the nursery decor and bedding picked out and thought about buying it this weekend, but why add more things to move? She does have 4 pink onesies (and one white one) and a glow worm (remember those!) but uh, that's about it. The moral of all this rambling is that we have a lot to do before she gets here. I am sure it will somehow all get done though and we are so very thankful for all the blessings we have in our lives.
