They Say It's Your Birthday!

This week was so busy!! Parts of the week were great and others were more sad. I'll start with the good. My 28th birthday was Tuesday. I had a good birthday, nothing too out of the ordinary, but it was nice. I got to work and my coworkers had bought smoothies and 3 pieces of key lime cake from the cafe a few doors down from our office. I thought that was really sweet, and tasty! I also got roses delivered to me at work from my sweet husband. He was out of town this week but he came home on Tuesday night just to celebrate my birthday. We went to Si Senor because I love love love Mexican and I was disappointed in the food, but it was still nice for the 3 of us to go to dinner. Thursday night Jacinda and her daughter, our little guy and I went to Olive Garden and also did a little shopping at the mall. I found a cute outfit at Maurices, my favorite place to buy clothes! I've been doing a fantastic job of spending that stimulus check! ;) Olive Garden was DELICIOUS and I always love their Sangria!!! Thanks Jacinda. :) We'll be celebrating my birthday with the fam tomorrow.

The negative parts of the week were that my step-dad's step-grandpa passed away on Monday. We went to the viewing yesterday and the funeral today. I didn't know him that well but it is still hard to see people you care about so sad. Also, on Wednesday my Dad who was here visiting from Texas was taken to the ER. The latest information that I have is that he had a minor heart attack and they also discovered he has sleep apnea, among other things. For those reasons it has been a hectic and crazy week. He was able to leave the hospital today and we plan to go visit with him tonight before he leaves for Texas again in a couple of days. Have a good weekend everyone!
