My friend Kelsey

I've been thinking about my friend Kelsey a lot so I thought I would post a blog about what's going on in her life. Most anyone that reads this will know her because we've been friends since 7th grade so here's a quick update. She is pregnant with their second child and she's having a ROUGH time. Her first pregnancy was far from easy and she ended up on bedrest then too. This time she got a kidney infection at the beginning of June (maybe the very end of May), and had to have a minor surgery and the doctor put her on bedrest. She'd been working for DCS for I think about 5 months and she's happy that they are going to hold her job with no problems. Her due date I think is the beginning of September so that's a LONG time on bedrest.

I talked to her today and she has to have another minor surgery tomorrow and the doctors are strongly considering doing her C-section as soon as August 11th, at 37 weeks. I normally talk to her every day and with going to DC, selling our house, moving and all that craziness I have not been good at keeping in touch probably when she needs it the most! Her daughter is just about a month younger than our little guy. She will be 2 at the end of October. If you could just keep her and the baby in your prayers, that would be great. I know she's pretty down and out right now. I am excited though for her to have a little boy and I pray that she and the baby are both healthy and she can survive another couple of weeks of bedrest!

Pregnant with our little guy (me) and her daughter (Kelsey) in July, 2006 at one of our favorite places to meet for lunch when we both worked on the "south side". It was so much fun being pregnant at the same time! (She might kill me for putting this picture up but I look worse than she does so it's okay!)

A not so bright, but still cute, picture of Kelsey's daughter (21 months) and our little guy (22 months).
