Instead of doing pretzel hugs we did simple chocolate covered pretzels this year. We only dipped them half way because that was a lot easier for the 4 and 2 year old hands doing the dipping.
Our son was in the pictures, but the only thing he wanted to do was eat the chocolates from the bag before they were melted! ;)
Very carefully dipping in pink chocolate
Who gave the 2 year old the dark chocolate? That was Mommy's bright idea. She was pretty careful, but we should probably switch colors next time!
I love my helpers!
After a sprinkle mishap before we got started, we only had half a container of sprinkles but we just sprinkled until we ran out.
Our sweet girls wore their Valentine shirts on Thursday because it was our preschooler's class party day.
Thursday afternoon the kids had some fun with a $5 photo booth set from Target. So funny!
I had some Valentine's food signs printed at a local office supply store that I saw and downloaded from here. How cute are these?!
We had some of the most delicious donuts for our Valentine's breakfast! (Excuse our son's hair, he's in desperate need of a hair cut!) ;)
The girls ate their Valentine's breakfast in their Valentine's pajamas after we dropped their brother off at school.
Our son's Valentine's party was this afternoon. I was not in charge of snack, but I thought the snacks a couple of the Moms brought were cute. And I had to try the jello hearts- yum!
I was in charge of the games and we did a "minute to win it" game, having the kids stack as many conversation hearts as they could in one minute. They got to keep the hearts they had on their plates.
Then we played hot potato with a plush conversation heart. The kids loved it but we were a pretty loud station!
The Mom in charge of the craft had them do a caterpillar with a magnet and a monkey on a necklace. Cute!
The kids all passed out their Valentines at the end and then of course wanted to look through their bags. Sugar overload! Their teacher told them to make sure they waited to eat their candy until they got home. ;)
My Mom kept the girls at our house so I could go to the class party and I asked her to take a picture of the kids and I before she went home. After about 20 tries, we got this one. ;) ♥
Our kids love balloons so I got them each a Valentine's Day balloon from the dollar store (I was surprised at their selection!) and a table cloth and Valentine's Day plates and napkins. Inexpensive but they thought it was fun!
We got them each a small Valentine's Day gift.
I made heart shaped pepperoni pizza for our dinner.
We had popcorn with the "My heart POPS for you" sign, fudge brownie goldfish with the "You're a great catch" sign, dehydrated marshmallow bits with the "You're so sweet" sign, and Cuties mandarin oranges with the "ORANGE you glad we're friends" sign. Very kid friendly!
My Valentine's eating their dinner. ♥
We received a lot of Valentine's Day love in the mail from our family in Wisconsin. Thank you so much! We love and miss you all! Happy Valentine's Day to all our family and friends! ♥♥♥
