We had a fun weekend celebrating Christmas in Wisconsin. It was a short but sweet trip. I did manage to take a lot of pictures though so prepare yourself for picture overload!
During the day on Friday we spent a little time at the new house and the girls entertained themselves with a Christmas present; a princess cupcake game.
I don't think they were necessarily following the rules, but it kept them busy for a while!
After the Cupcake game they entertained themselves by sliding down the stairs. ;)
Saturday morning we left bright and early for Wisconsin. Our 3 year old made sure Snow White was warm on the trip. Ha ha!
They were so happy to see the Gingerbread House and model train were still set up in the hotel lobby.
And then they posed so sweetly for me in front of the Christmas tree. :)
We went to Grandpa and Grandma's to have Christmas with them and I was so happy to get to meet the newest member of the family! I got my baby fix. :)
The kids were all so excited to see their cousins! We were sad to have missed one of their cousins who had to go home before we got there.
Our 3 year old has been asking me to take her picture a lot lately. I have lots of pictures of her from Christmas holding new presents. ;)
Our 5 year old is obsessed with Monster High! We don't let her watch the movies or buy her any of the toys because I really think they are a little scary for her age. She snuck this Monster High art set on her amazon wish list and was SO excited to open it!
She's so funny :)
As he was opening presents he said, "I hit the present jackpot"! Ha ha!
He got a new basketball for the hoop at the new house.
Our sweet niece opening her gift from us.
We love that the kids got so many new games for Christmas!
Our niece opened her baby brother's present from us too. ;)
After gift opening, Uncle Patrick hid under the table with the girls. Ha ha!
We got back to the hotel and this funny guy was playing his favorite Cars game on his Dad's phone and snuggled up under his new Minion blanket. He said, "ah, this is the life!" He has been saying the funniest one liners lately.
Sunday morning we headed to the pool first thing. I had to get their picture by the frog slide and then it was time to play!
This big girl went on the froggy slide over and over!
It made me a little sentimental when I realized he has probably outgrown the froggy slide. He still had fun at the pool though!
This pretty little lady was pretending to be a mermaid.
She asked me to take her picture again. ;)
Christopher, his Dad and two of his brothers went to the Packers game on Sunday so the kids and I spent the day with Grandma Jane, my sister-in-law Anne and her two kiddos. The kids loved seeing so much of their cousins (and Grandma and Aunt too of course)!
We met for lunch at a local restaurant called Erbert's and Gerbert's. They have the best subs!
After lunch we went to a little Children's Museum in town. I can't believe we've had kids for 8 years and this is the first time we've been there. It wasn't a huge Children's Museum but the kids had so much fun!
She said, this slide is like the one at Chick-Fil-A. ;)
Doing a little fishing.
She is wearing the same outfit that she wore on Saturday because we had a bloody nose incident at the hotel earlier in the day and her other clothes were in the washer at Grandpa and Grandma's. #reallife
Love this one!
Our son took weather reporting very seriously. ;)
I love this two lady band! These sweet cousins went everywhere together at the museum.
They picked some apples, and played in a vegetable garden.
Our 3 year old took a turn at doing the news.
The pretend grocery store is always SO much more fun than the real one. ;)
Our future engineer hasn't had the chance to play with his model trains or with his wooden railway trains lately, so once he saw this train table he didn't want to move from that spot!
She was content to play in this energy conservation house by herself for quite a while.
While the four bigger kids played and explored, this handsome little man hung out with Grandma Jane.
In line at the grocery store ;)
The girls took turns sitting in the dentist's chair
I love her face!
While Anne fed the baby, I took the girls in to the art room. What was I thinking? ;)
The 3 year olds initially thought they were supposed to paint directly on the easel.
They enjoyed being little artists!
The girls did some fishing, and then it was time to go.
I love these three!
Sunday evening we took the kids to a Winter Wonderland about 45 minutes from my in-laws house. My sweet sister in law showed up with a surprise for me! Love her! #caramelapplespice
Cousins! Excuse the crazy red eyes that I couldn't get red eye removal to fix.
We snapped a couple of pictures and it was beautiful! Unfortunately it was also freezing, so we opted to do the drive through in the warmth of our cars rather than walk. We had a fun weekend stretching out the holiday a little bit longer!
Look for my last amyeveryday2014 post tomorrow. It's almost the New Year!
