Little Bits of Our Life: Jump Around Party!

Happy Monday! Most weekends I don't feel ready for Monday morning to roll around and this one is no exception. ;) We started the weekend with a birthday party for our son on Friday night. Last year's bowling party was so much fun for our birthday boy that we decided to let him have another friend party this year. He wasn't sure if he wanted to do bowling again or the indoor trampoline park but ended up deciding on the indoor trampoline park. He's new to his school this year but we decided to just invite all 10 boys in his class. His school is strict on what contact information they can give out, but I was able to get e-mail addresses for 9 of the 10 boys.

My friend Sarah's boys are his best buddies so of course we invited them too! There ended up being 8 boys total plus our 2 girls.

They were able to do the trampolines, dodge ball area, basketball area and foam zone during their hour jump time.

It was great that we happened to have the party planned the same weekend that Grandpa and Grandma came to visit from Wisconsin! Grandma kept an eye on the girls, Grandpa took pictures and Christopher and I kept track of the boys. I made sure I got at least one or two pictures of the girls with my camera though.

She was having a moment because one of the staff members told her she needed to jump in a different square, but she decided to smile for me with Grandma in the picture. ;)

And the pretty little girls! They loved that they got to have pink jump socks to celebrate breast cancer awareness in the month of October.

The kids couldn't wait to get their piece of the ice cream cake! It was ridiculously priced at $30 for the cake, but we had a coupon for $20 off a birthday party so it was almost covered. They don't allow you to bring in your own cake or cupcakes, so ice cream cake it was!

Gift opening. I've always said we weren't going to have toy guns of any kind in our house, and we really haven't. I just found out this weekend that our son actually told my mother-in-law that he couldn't have a squirt gun they had bought him back in July so they returned it! He got two Nerf guns for his birthday though and he can't wait to play with them!
