Halloween Costumes

I read a post by Shay at Mix and Match Family earlier in the week about Halloween Costumes. I thought it would be fun to look back at the costumes our kids have worn through the years. I love seeing families that do family outfits but I just don't have that kind of creativity. ;)

October 2006 our little guy was only about a month old! Look at that sweet guy!!

We lived in a subdivision where we had lots of trick or treaters so this year we just passed out candy. We had the cutest helper!

2007 our little guy dressed up in the cutest costume! I'm still not exactly sure if it was a dinosaur, alligator or crocodile. Ha ha! But he was cute! We went to Halloween at the zoo when Pat and Anne were here visiting from Wisconsin.

I still love this picture of him! Oh the cuteness!   I think I called him a dinosaur at the time; but now I think it was an alligator.

Checking out the pumpkin on the front porch.

Daddy looks so young!!

2008 my friend Kelsey and I took our kiddos to a Halloween party at my friend Sara's house.

And we took our little monster trick or treating door to door for the first time!

We started the tradition of trick or treating with my nephew and niece. :)

2009 they dressed up for Kelsey's daughter's birthday party at the end of October. We had Buzz Lightyear and an adorable little lady bug this year.

And the kids and I trick or treated door to door with my sister and her family.

This cute baby girl pretended to eat her brother's candy!

2010 The kids and I went to a trunk or treat at my friend Jacinda's daughter's school.

We had Thomas the Train and the prettiest butterfly!

We took the kids trick or treating with my sister and her family again this year and I obviously had my camera on the wrong setting when I was taking this picture! Bummer!

2011 I think we had 15 people trick or treating with us! It was a lot of people but it was fun.   I love that my nephew was able to wear our son's costume from 2007.

Daddy, a pirate and a lady bug. You will be seeing this pirate costume again. ;)

Adrienne and her husband Joe and the younger of her two sons joined our group this year.

Our sweet baby girl did a great job just riding in the stroller.

2012 The five of us trick or treated with my sister and her family. It was cold and rainy during trick or treat time so we didn't last long going door to door.

Then we stopped by my Dad's to trick or treat and visit.

And we went to a local trunk or treat (inside!) after my Dad's. This year we had a pirate (2nd year in a row), lady bug (just realized this was the 3rd year she was a lady bug) and a strawberry. :)  The strawberry costume was a resale find and I loved it!

2013 Our family of 5 went to the zoo Halloween. The kids had so much fun!  Our youngest was a cow for the zoo Halloween.

The kids and I met my sister and her family and my friend Sarah and her boys at the trunk or treat that we have gone to a couple other years.

Three pretty girls in purple and pink

I did end up taking our Pirate (3rd year), Sofia the First, and pretty butterfly to a few houses door to door and Grandma Pam joined us for a while.

Our girls have decided what they want to dress up as this year and I am sure it will be no surprise!  Our son has been a pirate for the last 3 years.  He wanted to be a pirate again this year!  Ha ha!  I'm not sure yet what he will be, but it could very well end up being a pirate!
