Vacation Bible School

The kids had Vacation Bible School this week at the church where they've gone to preschool. I volunteered in the nursery and our 3 year old was there with me for the week. It's so nice they provide childcare for the children of the volunteers. I think it was great practice for preschool for her to be in a school-like setting and have to share with other kids. The nursery kids were so so sweet! It was not hard work, but I was still exhausted every day!!   One of my cousins and his family have been going this church, and his wife was one of the other volunteers in the nursery.  We don't see them much so it was fun to get to know her a little better this week too.

How sweet is this?! Even the nursery kids loved the singing and entertainment of the opening program.

This is not a good picture of me but it's cute of our 3 year old and my friend Carissa's son. She is the nursery director at the church and took all the pictures for the week.  I could see our 5 year old from where we were sitting and it brought tears to my eyes to see her singing, doing the hand motions, and praising God.

Thursday afternoon our 3 year old started running a fever and we had a very rough night! I obviously couldn't have her in the nursery on Friday and decided since we had a busy weekend ahead that I should see if I could get her in to the doctor on Friday morning. The doctor had her do a strep test and said if it was negative that she had a virus and to treat it with ibuprofen every 6 hours and lots of liquids.

One more group shot on Friday. Our son is in the back row in the red shirt. There were almost 400 kids at VBS for the week. They have such an amazing kids ministry! I was really bummed our 3 year old and I had to miss the last day.

This girl had the hardest time staying asleep once she fell asleep on Friday night, but I thought this picture was so sweet with her very life like baby. Thankfully she had a pretty good night Friday night and seems almost back to normal this morning!  Vacation bible school was a great experience for all of us!
