We took a mini vacation this past weekend to Wisconsin. We have been wanting to take our almost 4 year old who lives and breathes all things Thomas and Friends to "Day Out With Thomas" since we first heard about it. We got tickets to the event in Green Bay so my mother-in-law and father-in-law could go with us. We didn't tell our little Thomas fan anything about the trip so he was surprised first to see "ma gogs" and "pa gogs" and then the next morning to see his friend THOMAS! The look on his face when he saw Thomas coming down the track was priceless. I don't know if he's ever been so excited. Our normally somewhat shy little guy danced around the entire time we waited in line to board the train. It was a great day to say the least!
We got up early Sunday morning and finished up the weekend with a trip to the Zoo. My husband hadn't been to this one since he was much younger and the kiddos and I never had. We thought it was a really nice zoo. Our little guy told us as we were walking through the zoo that he was "having a woooooonderful day". So sweet as a mom to hear your son say things like that. What a great little getaway weekend!
And a big thank you to my father-in-law who is the man behind the camera. He took so many fantastic pictures and always captures great shots of the kids when we spend time with them.
