13.5 Months!

Sweet girl you are 13 1/2 months old! I probably won't do a monthly post on what you are up to now that you're over a year old but I wanted to do one now because we had your 1 year pictures taken right before you turned 13 months old and because you are learning so many things right now. You always impress us and make us laugh with the new things you are doing.

You are wearing size 4 Seventh Generation diapers now (we had to stop using Pampers because the new formula they use irritated your skin) and 12 month or 12-18 month clothes. You go to bed right around 8 and usually sleep until around 7. You still wake up once or twice at night and a lot of times I put you in bed with us when you wake up. You are still a great eater and love most all foods. You did not like whole milk at first so we mixed half formula and half whole milk in your bottle for a while. Now you will drink whole milk but it has to be warmed up first!

Since you have mastered walking, there has been no stopping you! You are always on the move!

You will give kisses now and the sweetest hugs. You often will pat us on the back as you are giving a hug.

While Mommy is cooking dinner or washing the dishes you like to take everything out of the drawer where we keep the ziploc bags and the hot pad drawer and scatter the contents all over the kitchen. You like to help clean up toys already though. We hope that isn't just a phase!


You make a "come here" gesture with your hands to us and to toys. You have learned the word "bye" and say it all.the.time! If we want you to say it though, you smile and turn away like you are shy. You have just started saying "momma". Finally! I will be even more happy when you call me Mommy instead of anyone you see. Ha! You have said what sounds like "hi" a few times too.

You love bracelets, purses, sunglasses and shoes and will try to wear our shoes and love to carry around your little purses and wear your bracelets. Very girly! You are getting better about not putting everything in your mouth but I have still caught you with the heel of my shoe in your mouth a couple times. Gross! Your hair is starting to get a little curly around your ears and in the back.

You love to clap and dance and you are the biggest ham. Any time we are out in public or in church you try to get people's attention and when they give you attention you SMILE and LAUGH and wave and think it's just great. We love your personality and WE LOVE YOU!
