I don't know what to call this game, but the kids were using these foam pieces to shoot a pom pom. It actually kept them entertained for a little while.
My sweet niece making a bracelet.
Our little cowgirl for the day coloring a peg solitaire board. (I had to google what those boards are called) ;)
My nephew was kind of old for the games and crafts in the pavilion but he made the best of it!
Our three year old coloring a mask.
The girls!
Of course the boys found a snake in the animals booth.
My niece holding a baby chick.
We walked through the animal barns and our 5 year old loved the horses. I bought her hat on clearance at Children's Place earlier this summer and she wore it all day today. I thought she looked too cute!
My nephew was one with the goats. ;)
My sister talked me in to buying the kids a wristband for the rides. I wasn't planning to let them do the rides; but I am glad she convinced me. The kids had so much fun!
It was so nice having Uncle Travis there. The kiddos love him!
There were quite a few rides for the younger kids!
Our 3 year old was SO mad that I didn't buy her a wristband at first. She was trying to run on to every ride when they opened the gate. ;) I finally caved and bought her one too. She loved the rides!
It was out of my comfort zone as a Mom to let my older two kids go on this slide, but they wanted to go! They loved racing their cousins!
The girls!
I love these little ladies!
I tried to get a picture of the kids on the strawberry ride, but the lighting is not the best inside the berry. It is still a cute picture!
Cousins! We missed the older of my two brothers and our nephew today!
My seester and I!
We were in mini 4-H and 4-H growing up. I showed cows and pigs and did a variety of different projects. I remember making a lot of cookies, trying to get them the exact same size and my Grandpa Junior helping me with woodworking projects. I think my Grandma LaVon might have helped me with a few sewing projects too but I can't remember for sure. I spent a lot of my birthday weeks at the fair as a kid. The picture above is my Dad and I, and I think that was my cow Slingshot. :)
Slingshot tripped me up and stepped on my fingers while I was showing him, but I still ended up getting first place with him. I was pretty proud. ;)
We had a nice day at the fair. My step-dad, Ken, and Mom met us there once Mom was off work for the day. It was great to spend the afternoon with everyone! We went to dinner and got dilly bars from Dairy Queen tonight. We planned to go to our favorite frozen yogurt place, but found out they closed down a couple of weeks ago! We were so bummed!
Here are some of the ways I've celebrated my birthday the last few years. ;)
