Holiday Fun in Wisconsin

We only made it to my husband's home town twice this year; once for 4th of July and this time for Christmas. You can never be sure how a 7, 4, and 2 year old will do on a 7-8 hour road trip but they all traveled pretty well. They are always so excited to see Grandpa, Grandma, (and let's not forget Scootie the dog!) and the rest of the family, and to play on the water slide at the hotel.

We made a stop for lunch at a McDonald's in Wisconsin and the straw wrapper said "Let's Go Packers" and the straw itself was green and gold. Wisconsin is a state the supports their sports teams, that is for sure!

Our hotel had an amazing gingerbread house again this year. Our kids love it! Our future train engineer really loves the model train that goes around it. He was even asking some of the hotel staff how much the train cost. ;)

Tuesday morning the kids were asking to go to the pool as soon as they woke up! Grandpa Larry and Grandma Jane came to watch them swim and Grandpa captured some great shots of the kids.

I told our 4 year old she looks like a little mermaid in this one. ;)

Our son was playing camera shy but Grandpa still caught this one of him going down the slide.

She is so funny.  I think she was pointing at the camera.

When we were done swimming, our 4 year old and Grandpa had a little photo shoot.  She loves the camera! ;)  What you don't see here is the boots she is wearing with her swim suit.  Flip flops and/or swim shoes were on the list of things Mom forgot to pack. ;)

I have to get a picture of the kids by the frog slide each time we visit.  Our 4 year old was looking at Grandpa and Grandma walking in to the pool in this one.

This picture is so real life.  One of the three is almost always making a silly face!  Our 2 year old loves to stick out her tongue.

And because I love to see how they've grown; a collage of frog slide pics from the 4 times we have stayed at the hotel in the last 2 years.  (It was driving me crazy that when I added the text "December 2012" to the top right photo, it disappeared when I hit create collage; but I couldn't figure it out.  You get the idea.)

The girls were freezing as the guys looked at the gingerbread house and model train, so Grandma held them and put her own and Grandpa's coats on them. ;)
