Science Center Field Trip

Today was the second field trip of the year for our 1st grader. It was originally scheduled for January but school was canceled because of the weather. All 4 classes of 1st graders rode the buses and the parents met them at the science center. There was also a group of kids from another school so it was a busy place! Our group had five kids and there ended up being four parent chaperones so that made it pretty easy.

Moon rocks

Pushing the button made a metal piece go back and forth over the center  (That is my very scientific explanation). ;)

Learning about electricity

I'm not sure if it is because I was there or if just seeing the picture can make a person dizzy, but looking at this makes me feel a little light headed! The kids loved this crooked room though.

Future astronaut? ;)

Kids always love a water table!

Doing a little moon walking

I wondered if adults could moon walk too. ;)

The kids in our group and a few more from their class squeezed in to this wind tunnel. Our son was not sure of it at first as you can see by the look on his face.  I think he might have been trying to find the exit!

But he ended up loving it! Some of their faces are hilarious.

I am so glad I was able to go on the field trip with my guy! Thanks Grandpa Ken for taking our 4 year old to preschool and for keeping our 2 year old so I could go. :)
