Our sweet girl is TWO MONTHS OLD!!
You were 9 lbs, 6 oz (20th percentile) and 22 3/4 in (55th percentile) at the doctor on June 30th. You are wearing a size 1 Pampers Swaddler diaper and 0-3 months clothes and some 3 months. You still seem teeny but you are growing like you should be. You normally eat five times a day; the first time at around 5:30am and the last time of the day at around 9:30 or 10pm.
You are such a sweet baby. You decided though for probably about four weeks that the only way you would nap during the day was if I held you. This made it hard to do things with the older two. Thankfully by the time you were almost two months I realized the vibration feature on your bassinet helped you go to sleep and stay asleep for great naps! Yay!
You continue to be a great sleeper. You take several good naps during the day and at night you really only get up about once, and it's usually between 5 and 5:30am. I still can't believe how well you sleep! I'm SO thankful!
You like the pacifier and it helps to keep you calm, although you still struggle to keep it in your mouth at times and will then try to suck on your hand. I think if we let you, you would be a thumb sucker but we prefer the pacifier because it can be taken away when you are older and your thumb can't be. :)
You are really not a fan of your car seat - you spit up generally the minute I put you in it and about half the time cry on car rides. We met a friend of Mommy's from college about an hour and a half from our house and went to a Children's Museum on June 17th. I was nervous taking all three of you on a little road trip by myself, especially with your dislike of the car seat but all three of you were so well behaved all day. I was so thankful!
You love the bouncy chair but aren't a fan of the swing yet.
You started smiling responsively at about six weeks and you just melt Daddy and Mommy's hearts with your gummy grin. Your big brother and big sister love taking care of you. They LOVE to give you your paci and put blankets on you and to help fasten your car seat. Your big sister always has to pick out which diaper I use for you and she always picks the ones with the picture of Elmo. When you are happily laying on the boppy, your big brother always gently moves you back up so you are comfortable if you start to slide off. They even argue over who's baby sister you are.
I loved your brother and then your sister so much as a baby (and now) but my love has tripled! I am just crazy about you! I smile every day just thinking how thankful I am for my sweet precious girl! You have blessed our lives so much!
