ONE YEAR OLD!

Sweet girl you are ONE YEAR OLD!! Technically a year and about a week by the time I'm posting this but who's keeping track? :) We had so much fun celebrating your birthday with you! Mommy will do a post about your ladybug birthday party later, but first, what are you up to at 12 months?

Your first TWO teeth are completely through! They are your two bottom middle teeth. We think you must be getting more because you are always trying to chew on things! You think it's especially funny to try to bite Mommy's shoulder when I'm holding you.

You continue to love food! You are a great eater. You will eat about any "real" food we give you with the exception of fresh fruit. You will get a bite in your mouth and make a funny face right as you are spitting it back out.

You are in a size 3 pampers cruiser and mostly 12 month clothes now. You are still very long so we have to get 12 month clothes so the pants are not too short.

You really love that big brother of yours but he is still having a hard time sharing his toys. He loves to play with your toys though. It's a work in progress. I'm confident the two of you will get this sharing thing down.

You are always smiling and have such a happy disposition. It's hard to be upset when we are with you. Your only typically fussy times are when you are hungry or tired.

You are still napping twice a day but normally only for about 30 minutes at a time! I am hoping you will soon learn how nice it is to get a good nap but those cat naps seem to be enough for you because you are cheery again when you wake up.

You are still very much a Momma's girl right now. You cry almost every day when I drop you off at "grandparent daycare" but they say you stop almost as soon as I am out the door.

The week before your birthday you really started to take off WALKING!! You are now walking all over the house. It's so amazing to see you get up and start walking. It makes you seem like such a BIG girl.

You still love to be outside, to splash in the bathtub, to be held and rocked, to clap and to dance. It's so hard for me to believe that it was a year ago when we first got to hold precious you in our arms. It's been an incredible first year watching you grow and we look forward to all the years to come!
