Happy Easter!

For our Easter breakfast, I had found a recipe on Pinterest for Resurrection Rolls. She made it sound so easy.

I thought it would be a great way to talk to the kids about why we celebrate Easter and make our breakfast at the same time.

The older two did seem to like dipping the marshmallows in the melted butter and rolling them in the cinnamon/sugar but they exploded in to a sticky mess in the oven! They still tasted yummy though!

Dipping and rolling

She always loves to help me in the kitchen. When she was a little younger, she always said she wanted to "help make".

We celebrated Easter with our little family of five in the afternoon on Easter Sunday. I love sharing in the excitement with the kids as they look for their eggs and baskets. As we do with Christmas, we talk to them about the real reason we celebrate the holiday; but we also enjoy the fun tradition of the egg hunts and baskets.

She's getting this egg hunting thing figured out!

She found her basket!

Our son found his basket too!

Who knew she would be so excited about chapstick? :)

Looking to see what else is in her basket. Her big item was a Hello Kitty baseball and mitt.

Our son's big item was one of the Gups that he really wanted from the Disney show the Octonauts.

I think this look says, are you really going to let me eat this candy??

I thought she would be SO excited about this "big baby" in her basket. She is always loving on and carrying around the ones my niece has. She does seem to love her big baby.

She's already taking big baby on a trip to the grocery store with her.

Finding his sports eggs.

Bright colors and pastels for the girls.

I think she was wrestling with big baby here. Ha! Our almost 4 year old corrects me that her name is "love baby".

The older two

My three loves! Even when I can't get them all to have a nice smiling face for the camera. ;)

A little Easter Sunday afternoon coach pitch baseball practice.

She may not know how to catch the ball yet with her new Hello Kitty mitt but she sure looks cute trying!

 Happy Easter!
