All 5 of the kiddos
A bonus to them all watching the movie is more time for the Moms to chat! So glad they could come over and visit!
Sarah's boys love super heros, so we got out these Incredible Hulk and Iron Man costumes that our son got for Christmas and the girls ended up playing with them! ;)
Such a scary Hulk!
A random picture of the Easter mantle. Just finished it this week. :)
On Thursday we had a play date at my high school friend Sara's house with her and her three boys. When our youngest weren't fighting over the cozy coupe, they looked pretty cute riding in it together!
While we were at our play date on Thursday, I got a text from my best friend Jacinda who lives in Tennessee now that her 29 year old brother had passed away unexpectedly. It was a shock to say the least and she and her husband and their 3 kids were packing up to come home and be with her family. :( It is hard to know what to say or do at a time like that. I am beyond thankful that she has the amazing and supportive husband that she does. We are and will continue to be praying for Jacinda and the entire family.
Friday our son had a dentist appointment for a second opinion on the best way to fix his cavities. The pediatric dentist the kids see recommended 8 fillings, 2 of those possibly being baby root canals and sealants for his 6 year molars; all done in one procedure under general anesthesia. We weren't comfortable with having him put under general anesthesia for fillings, so we wanted to get a second opinion. He is very anxious at the dentist, so we knew it might be difficult to get them filled without general anesthesia but we wanted to see what our options are.
By Friday night, he had a stomach bug. And by Saturday our 3 year old had it too. :(
Poor sick little sweetheart :(
I was still healthy on Sunday so I took our youngest to church with me on Sunday morning and Christopher kept the kids while I went to the viewing for Jacinda's brother that afternoon. I was thankful my cousin Rachel, who is also a friend of Jacinda's, could meet me there and we could keep each other company while we waited.
I was not able to attend the funeral services today because I had two sick kids and a husband who couldn't take the day off work. Jacinda has always been a friend that I can count on to be there for me no matter what. I have no doubt that she understood, and was surrounded by family and friends who love her; but it still broke my heart that I was not able to be there for her. We are continuing to pray for her and the entire family!
