Six Months

Sweet baby girl~ it's your half birthday!
You are SIX months old!
This has been the fastest year of my life!

You weighed 12 lbs, 12 oz. and were 24 3/4 in at your 6 mo well baby check. You are so tiny! Your brother weighed 19 lbs, 11 oz and your sister 15 lbs at their 6 month checks. You are so happy and content though. I feel like you are just going to be our little peanut. You wear a size 2 diaper and size 6 month clothes.

You take two pretty good naps a day and one short nap in the evening which means you stay up late with Mommy & Daddy every night. I think you just like the one on one attention from Mommy & Daddy after the big kids are in bed. You are a great sleeper but I am still swaddling you and I'm worried about how the transition will go once I stop, which I know needs to be soon!

You are just so sweet and happy. You DO pretty much want to be held all the time and are quite sure that only Mommy or Daddy should hold you but we can put you down to play some and in the jumperoo and buckled in the bouncy chair and you are pretty happy.

We really haven't started cereal or baby food with you yet. I was so anxious to get started with your big brother and sister but here we are at 6 months with you and you have only had oatmeal once or twice. I need to get you started on more solids! You have just recently started spitting up much less than you did as a baby and we are so thankful for that!

You think your brother and sister are the best things ever and now that you are getting bigger - they are starting to play with you and it makes me SO happy to see you interact. You just smile and laugh and watch them. I can tell you think they are great!

You are a MOVER! You roll everywhere and can drag yourself all over the floor. If I put you in the floor to play and walk off for even 2 minutes I will come back to you being somewhere totally different.

I am just CRAZY CRAZY in love with you! You have added so much love to our family and I can't imagine life without your sweet little face and your gummy grin.

I thank God every day for giving me the privilege to spend my life being your mom!
