Children's Museum

We recently met my friend and roommate my senior year of college at a Children's Museum. We live about three hours from each other so we decided to meet half way so we could visit and she could meet our new baby. It was so great that she found there was this little children's museum in the town where we wanted to meet!

The kids loved the water table and we loved the fact that there weren't more than twenty people there besides us!

Even though my kids have lots of play food at home, they all loved playing "store" at the Marsh inside the museum. It's so nice that our kids play so well together even though we don't get to see each other that often.

We had packed a picnic lunch which worked out great because they had a pretty outdoor area with fountains and a clubhouse and picnic tables. The kids found a turtle that they chased around (and around!). Poor turtle! They had so much fun with him though and he eventually found his way to the water and swam safely off.

I had been so nervous about taking all three kids on our first adventure any real distance from home, but they were all so well-behaved! I love days where you can see on the faces of your children how much they are enjoying themselves and this was one of those days! And of course it was nice to be able to catch up with a great friend. I could not believe how sweet our baby was traveling there and back and really the whole day at the museum. It was a day full of good memories.
