Wordy Wednesday

So the "it's official" that we closed on March 2nd got pushed back but we really ARE closing on Friday the 6th (2 days!). It seems like so long ago that we went out to the lot and saw that they'd broken ground, almost 7 months actually (but who's counting?). It has been such a process, some parts were really enjoyable and others not so much. But the important thing is, we're moving this weekend! Hubby and his Dad (coming all the way from WI) will be loading the moving truck Friday night and taking it to the new house on Saturday with all the big stuff. We'll have until the 14th to make sure we've moved everything out but they will get as much as they can in to the truck. My friend Jacinda and I moved all the packed totes and boxes to the empty front room of the rental on Saturday (and packed a few more) so that they wouldn't have to run up and down the stairs. I only carried the light ones, being a VPG and all. Thanks again Jacinda! We thought that would save a lot of time when they were doing the "big move". Hubby was pretty impressed when he came home and saw how much we'd accomplished. :)

Last night we started tearing things down to get ready for them to be moved. I don't handle things being chaotic very well so pray for me the next few days while we get things moved and even more importantly organized in the new house. I am really looking forward to getting new furniture and decorating the house. I can't WAIT to start buying girl stuff. I've been looking online and find so many cute things but I've had to make myself wait because I know it doesn't make sense to buy it yet. As I've mentioned before patience is something that I have to continually work on.

Completely changing the subject, I think our little guy is bordering on potty trained. He has been doing a fantastic job using the "big boy potty" to go pee. (Sorry if there are more "appropriate" terms for pee and poop but those are the words he uses). We find it hilarious that when he uses the big potty and flushes, he says "bye pee!" with a little bit of a southern drawl. No idea where that came from but it's too cute. The down side is that he will not tell us when he needs to poop. He is in the phase where he will go in the closet or just off by himself somewhere so he obviously knows what he is doing, but he will not use the potty. I can not figure out why. He's even waking up in the mornings dry so he's doing really well with that exception. Anyone who's been through the whole potty training thing have any thoughts? I would love for him to be fully potty trained by the time our baby arrives!
