Rainy Day at the Zoo

My friend Adrienne took the day off today so we could take the kids to the zoo and splash park before school starts. Well wouldn't you know, in the summer with the drought of 2012 and highs in the 90's almost every day, today it was in the low 70's with scattered showers! We had to seek shelter once or twice so we didn't get soaked but otherwise it just sprinkled off and on while we were there. It was still another fun day at the zoo. Thanks for taking the day off to spend with us Ade! We always have fun with you and your sweet guy!

We waited out the downpour by the hyenas and took some pictures of all the kiddos.

The splash park was obviously out and it was raining again as we were leaving so we decided to have a picnic in our basement instead of at the zoo to complete our back to school zoo outing.
