Nine Months

Sweet baby girl you are 9 months old!

Update: You had your 9 month check on February 9. You are 14 lbs. You are so teeny! You aren't even on the chart now for your weight. You are 26 inches, which is in the 10th percentile.
You are wearing mostly 9 month clothes but some 6 and 6-9 mo still fit you.
I just moved you up to a size 3 diaper.

You still nurse five times a day on average and have eaten all the baby foods we have tried with you. We've had to give you prunes a couple of times and to my surprise you ate them fine! The only thing you absolutely refuse to eat is the baby cereal. You ate the oatmeal but had an awful reaction to it; and you will not open your mouth to eat the rice or the whole wheat.

You usually take two pretty good naps a day. Because of your big brother's school schedule - you usually get a shorter nap in the morning and your long nap is in the afternoon. You will act like you are getting tired around 7:30 or 8:00 but if we miss the window, you get a second wind and will stay up until 10 or 10:30! You regularly sleep through the night which is a blessing.

You haven't got any teeth yet, but your older siblings both got their first tooth around 10 months so I am expecting it in the next month or so.

You are a BUSY BUSY girl. You are still not crawling but you have just started getting on all fours and rocking so I know you are starting to get the idea. You roll EVERYWHERE and you have mastered the army crawl. It is so funny to watch your older brother and sister when you get in to their toys. You are no longer just the sweet, innocent baby in the house. The fun thing is all three of you are starting to really play together at times. It's so sweet.

You babble a lot. And laugh a lot. You say "dad-da" some and very recently have said what sounded like "momma" a couple of times when you are upset. You have started this fake cry/cough that is so funny. The face above is one I see often while you are doing the fake cry. You have a real sweet personality.

You love to sit in the floor and play with toys - and are usually pretty content to play with your brother and sister while I get lunch or dinner ready. You are still such a Momma and Dadda's girl. It is rare that you let anyone else hold you without throwing a huge fit. You still kick your legs so excitedly when we come to get you from a nap. You are such a love.

It is hard some days to feel like I am giving you and your brother and sister all as much attention as you need. I truly do love all three of you equally. I can't imagine my life without any of you. I am SO blessed to be your mother! I love you!
